Hi all! Most of you followed me years ago, back when I was an editor and writer at Upworthy. I've posted here occasionally since, and if you've been wondering why so much of what I share these days is food related, that's because in 2020 I became a pastry chef and am now a recipe developer, food writer and editor, and spend most of my time creating food and recipe content!
In 2019 I created The Practical Kitchen, and I've brought my same anti-diet, body positive, neurodivergent perspective to my food writing. You can find me there sharing my favorite creative, practical recipes written with beginners (ambitious beginners, I like to say) in mind. You'll never find me talking about fad diets, calorie counts, or using moralizing (good/bad) language to describe food. It's a community for people who love eating and making food and don't want to feel bad about it!
A couple weeks ago, I launched a YouTube channel to share my recipe videos. Each one is under 2 minutes long and you can find a link to the full recipe in the caption of the video or on my website!
If any of this sounds interesting to you, I'd love if you would subscribe to my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_LBadWxcaANveD1QONXV7Q (My goal is to reach 500 followers by the end of the year!)
And find my website here: https://thepracticalkitchen.com
Discover creative yet practical recipes on The Practical Kitchen food blog, including plenty of delicious homemade baking, pastry, and desserts, and kitchen gear guides.
