HitOldies is BACK! Now, with two audio feeds- our new music rotation on the revamped HitOldies, where right now the DJs are on hiatus but they return this weekend!
We also have a new custom player for the formerly temp format we aired since just before Christmas, the K1FRC Shortwave and Ham Shack live audio link. Why not, we had a pretty substantial audience that must have found the noises coming from our feed somewhat interesting.
I’ll be working on improving both aspects of our dual station website including, on the music side, new DJs, a full jock schedule, a return of 60s, 70s and 80s music (even some 50s and early 90s will slip in) and starting next month, the all-new Steve Garren laugh-a-lot morning show!
On the Shortwave/Amateur Radio Service stream page, I’ll be including lots of links to things like licensing, antenna construction techniques, operating practices, radio wave propagation and some real time ionospheric data, telling us how the ionosphere is behaving each day. And plenty more!
Who ever heard of a station format consisting of monitoring Shortwave and ham bands?!! Well. Now you have. It’s 50% of the HotOldies experience!
