Lesson learned
What happens when you venture out of Trinity. Don’t worry we know what to do and are safe Megan Hays-Reid
The TriniTea goes to the Redding Rancheria Trinity Health Center’s Annual Health & Wellness Fair in Weaverville. We saw lots of familiar faces including Human Response Network, AhHome and the SMART Workforce Center
The TriniTea paints a mural
The TriniTea was invited (or rather self invited…) to help paint a mural in a motel room that’s being renovated. We unleashed our inner artist! You can check it “in” at the 49er Gold Country Inn in Weaverville, CA. #weaverville #renovation #california #mural
49er Community Viewing Party
HGTV’s House Hunters featured Megan & Paul Reid’s search for a motel to buy. Spoiler alert—The Reids hosted a community viewing party on-site of the motel they purchased in 2023 49er Gold Country Inn.
Hundreds gathered in Lee Fong Park on Saturday, July 20 to celebrate Rick Aglipay’s 75th birthday. “Mr. A” has taught Chemistry (& other subjects) at Trinity High School for the past few decades.
Trinity wouldn’t be the same without him. Happy birthday Mr. Aglipay from the TriniTea!
75th Birthday Bash for Rick Aglipay a.k.a. "Mr. A" with LIVE MUSIC!
Thank you firefighters
Help is on the way
On this week’s episode of The Real Supervisors of Trinity County—CAO Tuthill reports there is an $8.4 million difference between what County department heads have requested and what’s available in this year’s budget preparation. Sounds like there are some tough decisions ahead.
49er Motel on House Hunters
We can’t wait to watch the 49er Motel on HGTV’s House Hunters Saturday July 20 at 10pm. See you at the viewing party! 49er Gold Country Inn
The TriniTea goes to the Fair
The Trinity County fair is always a fun place to be. This year the TriniTea took a rather humorous daytime stroll & spoke with the animals…
Congrats to all of this year’s participants!!! #trinitycountyfair #countyfair #hayfork #livestock #duststorm #trinitycounty
The TriniTea attends a Hmong Community celebration event in Hayfork, California. #California #hmong #khistes #culture #trinitycounty #norcal #cannacommunity
Khis Tes in Hayfork
The TriniTea attended its first Khis Tes in Hayfork to celebrate the reelection of Trinity County District 3 Supervisor Liam Gogan and District 5 Supervisor-Elect Julia Brownfield. What a special day and Trinity County’s Hmong community certainly knows how to celebrate! Special shout out to Ric Leutwyler for letting us use his phone to capture video when our battery died!
TriniTea Checks into the 49er
What a TriniTreat to stay at the 49er Gold Country Inn in Weaverville, California. We made pesto pasta with Master Chef contestant/Motelier Megan Hays-Reid and rode a magical pool unicorn.
This is the second motel, Megan and Paul Reid purchased and are currently in the process of renovating. We are psyched that their family are making Trinity county their home and not a stopover.
We asked all the questions that have been brewing —No they are not from Bethel and yes they will be featured in an episode of HGTV’s House Hunters airing July 20 (there will be a community viewing party) 49er Gold Country Inn Weaverville Chamber of Commerce Visit TrinityTrinity County Visitor Center #motel #trinity #49ermotel #renovation #unicorn #masterchef #weaverville

Fire?
Update: There are several spot fires around Oregon Mountain.

Weaverville Hotel Open House
The TriniTea toured the beautifully refreshed Weaverville Hotel & met two of its new owners. We can’t wait to take a staycation in order to soak up the building’s history (maybe even see a ghost…) in one of their clawfoot tubs. Reservations can be made on weavervillehotel.com Weaverville, California Trinity County Visitor Center Trinity River Catering & More
Breaking News! Sources say that Trinity philanthropist, Craig Muir has purchased what is locally known as “The Green Box” in downtown Weaverville. The building was last used several decades ago as a grocery store. It was purchased years ago by local vintners for development but their project stalled out for a variety of reasons.
We are excited for what the future brings to The Green Box.
