Attempting to ride around the world on my KTM 500 alone!

Camped on a peanut farm in Nicaragua! 🥜🇳🇮 It had quite the views with the two Volcano’s in the backdrop.

Got caught in the dark with no camping spot still, and asked this guy Oscar if I could sleep in one of his fields. He ended up being a guard on a farm.. Although I could tell he wanted to help, he was pretty unsure about it with regards to his ability to make that call on his own.. I asked if we could call his boss and I talked to him. We got the green light to stay there, and not risk Oscar getting in trouble! We hung out with some other guys on the farm swapping stories until it was time for bed..

Oscar then offered if I wanted to sleep in the hammock and I happily said yes as it’s significantly cooler than the tent.

The next morning Oscar took me on a tour of the farm and I got to pull some peanuts out of the ground. Not sure where I thought peanuts came from, but I always imagined them growing above ground for some reason! Pretty cool! Raw and not cooked/roasted they tasted different but still really good!

Guys she found my drone! Short story..

I was flying my drone and lost it in fast winds. The winds were so fast that the drone wasn’t able to return back to me.

The drones last pined location was near a farm of coffee fields along the volcano Santa Ana. Along the road was a family selling fruits to passing cars. I stopped and asked if they had heard or seen anything.

A lady named Saundra and some kids helped me search a field that we thought the drone maybe could have been. After a bit I realized the probability of finding the drone was close to none especially since the last marked location was still quite high when the drone still floating away in the wind.

I searched for about 2 hours & then decided to call it. I talked to a lady named Saundra who had helped me look for a while. I gave her my number and told her I’d give a cash reward if it was found.

I left the mountain feeling quite defeated, but mostly just foolish since it was no one else’s fault, but my own for making such a foolish mistake in the first place. About a 1200 dollar mistake. Although sad for some reason I did feel comforted that everything would be alright & I could get another drone.

The next morning early around 7am I got a text from Saundra. It said “Good morning I have good news, they found your drone”

When I say I was in shock, I mean I was baffled. I was getting ready to leave that morning with Mike to a different part of El Salvador.

What had happened was a guy went over to Saundra’s house to eat dinner. While the man was eating she mentioned what had happed to my drone. The guy said he actually had in fact heard something on the farm he was working at about a mile away from where we were searching. He didn’t think much of it since he thought it might have been the police. The next morning he went out early to look for it. He found it high up in a tree!

The odds of anyone being close to enough to even hear the drone on a massive farm. & the fact that the only guy who heard it went to the only lady who knew about the drone… Just feels like a small miracle and I feel very fortunate & grateful to God! It’s things like that where you just feel seen & loved.

Beach trip with Diego & Stacy was so refreshing!

It was the first time I actually went for a long ride with other motorcyclists on this trip. Riding in a group was fun and I enjoyed Diego and Stacy’s company on the coast!

I’ve never really heard about going to the beach in Guatemala. I was presently surprised! El Paredón was a small little surf town with a good relaxed vibe to it.
