1952 Smith & Wesson combat masterpiece. This is the gun from my last post where I was shooting 100 yards offhand. It’s an old sweetheart for sure.

I haven’t even had this one home for 15 minutes and it’s already murdering squirrels.

This is a Smith & Wesson K38 combat Masterpiece built in 1952. This model would eventually evolve into the model 15 in 1957. Not a huge fan of the plastic fake stag grips, or the grip adaptor to be honest, but they tell a story that goes along with the pistol so I will probably just leave them on there.

I like all of my R***r 22 pistols, but the mk4 22/45 light might be my favorite configuration.

Shooting the PARA USA Expert a little bit today. Fired this group at 25 yards off of the bench after working on the sights. I think I’ve got it dialed in now.

HOLY CRAP!

I’ve mentioned many times over the years that I can’t shoot a handgun off of the bench. I have always been able to shoot better offhand than I can off of a bench and it infuriates me.

I was sitting here drinking my coffee this morning it and it hit me like a freight train what I have been doing wrong and I immediately had to go out and test my theory.

I fired the first 5 rounds and I was so dumbfounded I had to fire another five to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.

Yall, I just fired this group with my completely stock R***r super Blackhawk 44 magnum at FIFTY YARDS off of a bench.

I’m beyond ecstatic, but also ashamed that it took me this long to figure it out.

I’m kind of like Matthew Quigley when it comes to shotguns, I never had much use for one, but that being said, I think everyone should have a good tactical pump action laying around, and it’s pretty hard to beat a Mossberg 590. This is a pretty basic 590A1, but it will get anything shotgun work I need done. Doesn’t have to be fancy, but it works.

I’ve always loved the look of 2 tone guns. These are all light weight alloy framed 1911s, all in 45 ACP. The top is a ***rsofficial light weight full size, and the middle is also a R***r light weight but in the commander length. The bottom one is a Springfield armory and they sadly no longer offer that model.

This is a fantastic pistol that I unfortunately do not give enough love, so I had to get it out today and run a few mags through it. This is the R***r Target model 1911 in 10mm. It’s supremely accurate, tight as can be, had great sights and over all just a really nice example of a 1911. I really should show it some more love since I do like the 10mm a lot, and the 1911 is a fantastic platform for the cartridge. Grips are ones I made about 10 years ago.

Im not sure how I feel about this Holosun 510C on a lever gun yet. I like the concept and it’s very easy to use, but it just seems a little out of place on the rifle.

I think this Marlin Fi****ms 1894 357 magnum is now ready for the field. I installed excellent front and rear sights from Skinner Sights and added an oxblood sling from Simply Rugged Holsters and shot it enough for the action to start to get smoother. This is a really nice lever gun, and I’m so happy to see Marlin back at the top of their game.
