When I was a sophomore in high school in Mrs. Lewis’ biology class, we had to make a bug collection with 100 unique labeled bugs.

I don’t know if that started my love of insect taxidermy or if it was later on when the “Out of Africa” decor style stole my heart. Either way, this is my whimsical take on the theme. 🐞

Do you know why we call them pansies?
The name comes from the French word pensée that means “thought”. It’s a flower of remembrance and thoughts. 💛

Remember when I told you that I love making glass bows? A heart full of roses and a big glass bow was our project this week in my glass group.
This picture is before resin, but she’ll be getting a shiny coat tomorrow. 🩷🤍❤️
