This is 39✨

8 months post and stronger & more confident than ever. The thing about healing they don’t tell you, you’ll be stripped bare, naked. This idea of getting back to the “old you” doesn’t exist bc we can’t go backward. You must focus on cultivating a new version of self & loving yourself unconditionally. As you embrace your new journey, things will change. What no longer serves you or feeds your soul will fall off as you open yourself up to the expansion of who you are becoming.

Sounds scary right? Press forward anyway.

I used to not want to put on a 2 piece because my “bikini scar” looks nothing like like they said it would and also has a keloid. I would wear high waisted bikinis or one pieces bc I was ashamed of what it looked like. But I learned to embrace it, show it off even bc I’m a warrior & it’s my battle wound, a reminder of my strength- mentally, physically and spiritually. All it took was a change in perspective and loving myself unconditionally ♾️🖤✨

I’m not going to lie, wearing my hair straight is waaaayyy less maintenance, but I loved letting my curls loose these past few months coupled w/ several days of not even touching my hair 🥴

I haven’t straightened in 2+ months & decided NOT to pick up the scissors either…whew for progress 🌱

I. AM. WOMAN.

2 weeks ago I had a myomectomy to remove 13 fibroids from my uterus. Fibroids that had me in the ER from pain and have affected my ability to procreate among other things. They were taking over my body. They had to go!

But through this healing process I am discovering layers of myself I never knew. That and just how STRONG & MAGICAL the female body is ✨
