HAPPY MAY! ✨🧠💛💐 May is one of my favorite months, and no I’m not being bias just because my birthday is May 7th 😉 May highlights 2 of the most important things to myself and Alyssa and that is: Mental Health Awareness and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage month.
I (Emily) have struggled with mental health since I was a young girl, and continue to walk the journey of dealing with my emotions, my anxiety, and my depression. Some days are better than others, and the other days I can feel completely hopeless at times. Which causes me to miss out on the things in life the other half of me wants to do. It is a constant battle that I deal with, and I want all of you to know that you ARE NOT ALONE! And that YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!!! Never stop standing up for yourself and speaking out about the things that are crucial for your own survival, we all deserve to live peacefully with our minds.
Next is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Our grandmother Luz Baoy (now Kelly) immigrated here with her 4 kids from Tacloban, Philippines in the 70s. We both have a special place in our heart for family in the Philippines, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders and most importantly stopping AAPI HATE. 💛✨
