Another year gone… an interesting one. Was due to be even busier than last year but had quite a few last minute cancellation, I normally get 3/4 a year but 14 is a new time high!

Still lots of cool events and festivals to be apart of, as well as a few recordings. Met plenty of new venues, acts and people this year, which I hope will lead to a busier 2024.

Forgot to post about my last outing in Bristol. I was busy making Slowski, ¡Ay, Carmela! & Arcadia Planitia sound awesome at The Mount Without.

Wowzer! That was a crazy day, so crazy it’s taken me 2 days to do a thank you post for the Bristol Ukulele Festival. Another successful festival under the belt.

Many thanks to Danielle and all the acts that played.

I can tell it was a busy day cause I didn’t take any photos (sorry to the two people I’ve stolen these photos off). My legs were so tired I couldn’t get out of the car when I got home, and it’s just the start of a busy time for live music.

Small little point just to get out there.

If you have an arrangement with me, tell me if plans change. If I'm trying to get hold of you because I don't know any timings or haven't received payment, don't ghost me. Speak to me and we can sort something out.

Due to poor communication, and finding out plans have changed on social media instead, I'm free w/c 19th June and w/c 7th August for any events or festivals.

First festival of the year will be Home Farm Festival! Back again on the Lloyd Lounge for some live music, food and (hopefully) sun 🌞

I'll be back at The Hen and Chicken, 1st July, for the Bristol Ukulele Festival.

Looking forward to be doing the sound for this festival again and look forward to see everyone at what is turning out to be a very busy and packed day of Ukes!

Well it's been another very busy, and successful, year for me. I think this must be the busiest year I've had since turning from a venue engineer to freelance.

Biggest thing I've noticed is the amount of new shows/festival that started this year, and I'm very proud I've been able to do make part in making these festivals the best possible, also glad to be rebooked for their 2nd year already.

Already looking forward to next year's bookings, which I can't wait to share.

Thank you to everyone who has booked me, new and returning, and thanks for everyones support.

Of course I'm not quite finish for 2022. I'll be manning the PA for the new years eve gig tomorrow at Merriott Social Venue. It's a ticketed event but I promise you it will sound amazing! (As always).

Had the pleasure to work at Mr & Mrs Goodwin wedding last Saturday. A great night by all but don't take my word for it, below is the feedback from the happy couple themselves. Always happy to support any occasion.

"Stephen of Soundwaves Engineering is exceptional at what he does and went above and beyond for our wedding. The lights at the venue didn’t work so he sources some, he wasn’t asked to but recorded the speeches- such a lovely touch. From our perspective we didn’t notice anything out of place. That was confirmed by both the 4 piece band and solo singer who all agreed that Stephen is an audio craftsman. Thank you for everything Dave and Sarah"

A return to The Cobblestones last Saturday to engineer a spooky line up. The bands were definitely dressed for the occasion and sounded the part.

Another long busy day, another festival at Combe Down RFC.

Despite the weather, we managed to continue with the live music, with thanks to Reaper Events for being well orgaenised and having a plan in place for heavy rain.

The weather did dry up later in the day so we could move to the big stage, in time for the headliners Foo Fighterz - Tribute to the Foo's.

Thanks to all that attended.

A long, busy day at Hen and Chicken yesterday. Managing the main stage of the Bristol Ukulele Festival, it was a pleasure to be part of a new festival and one where everyone (performers and audience) were close, friendly and enjoying every act on stage.

Absolutely loved being part of the amazing sound and stage crew for The Lloyd Lounge stage at Home Farm Festival!

Thank you to all the acts we had on stage and to everyone who came to watch and enjoyed the line up we had, I know I did.

I’ll post some videos later today, but safe to say I’ll be coming back next year.

Another great night of music. Yesterday I was at Buckland Athletic FC presentation night, where Dave Can't Dance were playing funky disco tunes late into the night.

Another great night of music. Yesterday I was at Buckland Athletic FC presentation night, where Dave Can't Dance were playing funky disco tunes late into the night. Still availablility for more bookings in July, August and September for any shows.

Third act from Kingsbury May Festival was Aqila. Follow this young band on instagram: Aqila~Band. *This video contains some "professional" camera shaking.

Still reminiscing last saturday at Bournemouth's Oxjam. Listening to some great music which I've been listening to back home.... Also I forgot I had this little gem, Jawbone & The Swine's Hangman with crowd singing. Until next time Bournemouth.
