සජබ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී පාඨලී චම්පික රණවක ඉදිරි ජනාධිපතිවරණයේ දී තම සහය සජබ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂක සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස වෙත ලබාදෙන බව අද (14) පැවසුවා. ඒ සඳහා සහය දෙන ගිවිසුමකට අත්සන් තබමින්.

දින නියමයක් නොමැතිව කල්ගිය පළාත් පාලන මැතිවරණයේ දී පාඨලී චම්පික රණවක සජබ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා තමන් සජබයෙන් ඉවත්වී වෙනම කණ්ඩායමක් ලෙස තරග කරන බව කියා සිටියා. ඒ සඳහා සජබයෙන් වෙන්ව දේශපාලන පක්ෂයක් හදාගත් සජබ මන්ත්‍රී කුමාර වෙල්ගම පාර්ශවය හා එක්ව ඇති බවයි පැවසුණේ.

ගිය වසරේ මැයි මාසයේ දී සජබ මන්ත්‍රී පාඨලී චම්පික රණවක දේශපාලන පක්ෂයක් පිහිටුවීමට පියවර ගෙන තිබුණා.

“මොකද මේ රට මේ බංකොලොත් භාවයෙන් මුදාගන්න. කුසලතාවය මත පදනම් වුණ දේශපාලන ව්‍යාපාරයක් අවශ්‍යයි. පවුල් උරුමයෙන් දේශපාලනය කරන දේශපාලනයට තිත තියන්නට ඕනේ. ඒ වගේම පාදඩ සල්ලවලින් ලංකාවේ මනාප දිනාගන්න දේශපාලනය වෙනස් කරන්න ඕනේ. ඒ වගේම යල්පැනගිය සමාජවාදී, ධනවාදය වෙනුවට නව ප්‍රායෝගිකවාදයක් මත රට ඉදිරියට ගෙනියන්න දේශපාලන මතවාදයක් ඕනේ” එම පක්ෂය පිහිටුවීම පිළිබඳව ඔහු සඳහන් කර තිබුණා.

පාඨලී චම්පික රණවක මහතා මුලින්ම ජනතා මිතුරෝ නමැති සංවිධානයක් තනාගත් අතර පසුව හෙළ උරුමය ලෙස භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට යැවීම සඳහා දේශපාලන පක්ෂයක් සංවිධානය කළා. අනතුරුව එම පක්ෂය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ප්‍රමුඛ සන්ධානට එක්වූ අතර පසුව රණවක මහතා රනිල් - මෛත්‍රී ප්‍රමුඛ යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුව එක්වෙනු ලැබුවා. අවසන් මහා මැතිවරණයේ දී සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා නායකත්වය දෙන සජබ යෙන් තරග කර පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු වූ සජබ මන්ත්‍රී පාඨලී චම්පික රණවක විසින් රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ එජාප නායකයා වෙත සහය දීමට සුදානම් වෙමින් සිටින බවයි සමහර පාර්ශව වාර්තා කර තිබුණේ.

Congratulations Chamindu!

Congratulations to Chamindu Wickramasinghe former St. Anthony's College Kandy 1st XI Cricket Captain 2022 for making his International Cricket debut by representing Sri Lanka Men's Cricket team against India in the 3rd T20 International match at Pallekele on 30th July 2024. Chamindu an all rounder well known for his right hand medium pace bowling and hard hitting left handed batting earlier represented Sri Lanka Under 19 (2021) and post leaving College started representing S.S.C. He became the 2nd Antonian after 14 years, when legendary Muttiah Muralitharan represented Sri Lanka in T20 Internationals (2006-2010) to play for Sri Lanka in T20i. Chamindu had a memorable debut by picking up the wicket of Sanju Samson in his second over (03rd over of the match) and ended up with 1 wicket for 17 runs in 04 overs and then came at the fall of the 07th wicket in the final over and scored valuable 04 runs in 02 balls to tie the match. Congratulations to Chamindu and wishing him all the best for a wonderful International Cricket career ahead and congratulations to all Antonians for producing another National Cricketer!
