Joy’s exposure to p**n in fifth grade and a traumatic college experience created a burden and contributed to trapping her in a cycle of shame. But through God’s grace, Joy discovered a path to freedom and healing.

Today, Joy opens up about overcoming shame and destructive habits, addressing the lack of conversation around women’s struggles with p**n within church communities. Her insights, drawn from surveying over 1,000 Christian women, reveal how understanding God’s design for sexuality and fostering intimacy with Him and a supportive community can lead to profound transformation.

I graduated from high school in 1990 and after working in guest services at summer camp for awhile decided to go to dental assisting training at a community college. That was the extent of my academic pursuits.

I’ve been deep in the trenches of motherhood and don’t regret my investment in family one bit! But- ever present in my heart has been a desire for more formal Biblical training.

This fall I was able to join a leadership training class at my church. Nothing makes me stumble over my words as much as being in a room with classmates (and a teacher) 20 years younger! 😆

I’m so impressed by their hunger to grow in their faith walk and service to the Lord. Can’t wait to see the future ministries that are led by this crew! ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for taking this photo (and for sitting with me each week😊)

This popped up on my Facebook memories from 6 years ago. There is still no one like her and I ADORE

This was my caption:
When you walk in to find the 9yo in process of a “face transplant” because the puppy chewed the face off her favorite wolf stuffed animal.

Two teddy bears were sacrificed for the transplant..... but that’s ok because nobody liked those ones anyway.

There is no one like this girl.

Mary is an inspiration as she has launched a writing career and started learning social media in the second act of life.

It’s the season to start sewing! My temporary craft station is set up. Half of my projects are complete.

I used to have more projects but now I look at my days more realistically so I shortened the list! Started with my mending and “must do”. Next up my creative endeavors. Can’t wait! 🎄🎄🎄

If this doesn’t say “mom life”, I don’t know what does! This devotional by is full of encouragement. Like having a Titus 2 woman in the car with me everyday!

I’m sure I am not the only one… Do you have a “car book” you keep handy for those times you are waiting to pick up kids or fill a few minutes of silence waiting for an appointment? What are your favorites?

I would love to introduce you to a wonderful organization that ministers to MILITARY WIVES. Please check out their post from today and consider donating to their cause. Supporting the wives blesses the service members as well. ❤️

They say that loneliness is more detrimental to our health than even disease. Yet, a military wife will spend some of life’s most precious moments and hardest days alone.

She’ll wrap her arms around the person she loves and silently pray the Lord will be as close to him as the threads of his uniform.

She’ll enter a delivery room with no hand to hold.

She’ll plan Christmas dinner and birthday parties in a new community where she knows no one.

She’ll wonder if this military life is really meant for her, as the weight of managing a household alone becomes overwhelming.

Homefront Heroes Ministries is here to change that.

In 2025, we’ll launch the Hope Box into the world and let every military wife know she’s not alone.

With donor support, these boxes will be free to the military wife in the trenches and serve as a reminder of the God who sees her in every circumstance, who sustains her for every valley and who has surrounded her with a community of women who understand the trials she faces.

You can help us start today by making a tax-deductible donation at [standtomatchday.com] and select the Homefront Heroes Ministries fund. Today only, the Armed Forces Foundation will match your donation by 50% (up to $2,500).

Would you join us by making a $5-$500 donation today and tag a military wife below who needs to know she’s not alone? She’ll be entered to win our very first Hope Box!

In this box:
Study Bible by SheReadsTruth
Making Room, A Study of Biblical Hospitality by SheReadsTruth
Another Move, God? 30 Encouragements to Embrace Your Life as a Military Wife by Beth Runkle

2 Hopekeeper Necklaces by the DaintyForcesCo (one for you and one for a friend!)

I went outside to check my son’s work on cleaning out the chicken coop. On my way back in the house I walked past one of my grandchildren’s toys and out of the corner of my eye I spotted this!

Trying to imagine how the chicken and the duck perched up there to drop these eggs and surprised they weren’t broken. The next thought was, “I wonder how long they have been sitting there?!”

Washed, well labeled and we shall see! 😂
