I went outside to check my son’s work on cleaning out the chicken coop. On my way back in the house I walked past one of my grandchildren’s toys and out of the corner of my eye I spotted this!

Trying to imagine how the chicken and the duck perched up there to drop these eggs and surprised they weren’t broken. The next thought was, “I wonder how long they have been sitting there?!”

Washed, well labeled and we shall see! 😂

This showed up on my Facebook memories today… 9 years ago I was slaying this motherhood thing. It’s a little trickier to convince them to do what I want now🤣 However, my days are also quieter in general.

This was the caption from my memory:
When mom needs a little space..... She offers a penny for every pinecone they pick up. My kids made $5 to share, we have pinecones for fire starters in the Woodstove this winter, and it was relatively quiet in my house this afternoon.

It’s been a month since I took a few of my kiddoes and my niece and nephew to the park. It was a super good time and so nice that they were all old enough to enjoy all the rides. But this girl has now aged out of roller coasters ☹️ Two trips to the chiropractor and I’m still not right. I think I will go back to joyfully taking photos from the sidelines and holding the backpacks while everyone else enjoys the rides.

I guess I’ve been needing to slow down. Now it’s mandatory. 😆
