You have to give credit where credit is due. Where do we even start? I first knew Chris only by his HondaTech username, but over the years, life brought us together in real life through mutual friends, they were borrowing each other wheels & that’s when I finally met the guy

2021 ELDS Before Summer Meet was one for the books!

Always blown away by the incredible love we receive , it’s such an amazing feeling bringing the car community together. Huge shoutout to those who traveled 4+ hours just to hang out! His build is simple yet powerful, a straight street car , a perfect example of “less is more.” In a scene full of complex setups, it’s refreshing to see something this classic. One of Las Vegas finest ,Chris’s EK hatch is a beast, featuring a big boost LSV motor on gold 5-lug Advan RG1s, paired up front with a 6-piston Wilwood and big 2-piece rotor. One detail I loved was the midwing—something you don’t see much anymore. And the EK4 front and back bumper setup just looks perfect! The paint color is a custom mix inspired by the 9th gen Civic Si, and honestly, it suits this car so well.

I’ve known Gio for a few years now, and watching him grow in the car community has been something special. He’s as humble as they come, keeping it real every step of the way, and that’s what it’s all about. Gio’s been putting in the work on this coupe since he bought it off a friend, pouring his heart into every detail.

This is exactly why I love featuring builds like his—there’s nothing like creating something that’s true to your own taste and vision. When people build cars with passion and love, it inspires others to do the same. We do this for the feeling it gives us, the happiness of cruising with a big smile, knowing it’s something we built with our own two hands. Thank you, Gio, for keeping this side of car culture alive. Triple OG with his ’99 Honda Civic. Man, where do I even start? Met Jose a few years ago, and he, along with his brother Luis, has been holding it down in the car scene for years—true OGs. I knew he was the perfect guy for this feature. Huge thanks to Jose for taking time out to hang with us for a few hours!

This project started with spare parts, and it just grew from there. This Civic captures the essence of a straight street car, daily driven to work and back, yet packed with quality parts. And now it’s looking extra clean with those new MF10s. If you spot this beauty on the freeway, make sure to throw Jose a wave! 👋

Over the years, this DC has seen some incredible changes, and I’ve gotta say, that color is still one of my all-time favorites.
