Dezarie is a female roots reggae singer born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. She received Atlanta's "Best New Female Reggae Artist" award in 2001 before returning to St. Croix.
She works closely with Midnite. She currently has six albums available. They are entitled; FYA (I Grade Records 2001), Gracious Mama Africa(2003), Eaze The Pain(2008), The Fourth Book(2010), Love in Your Meditation(2014) and her most recent is entitled "Greatest Hits" (2021)

In 2002 she collaborated with Bambu Station on Talking Roots volume 1 album on song Woe.

Roots empress Dezarie blessed the reggae community in 2003 with the deliverance of one of the most potent musical albums of all time "Gracious Mama Africa". Released on the Afrikan Roots Lab record label, this album emerged from the seeds planted on her amazing debut album of 2001 "FYA".

Gracious Mama Africa transports the incredible voice of Dezarie to a whole new level - the highest heights. Her foundation is firmly established on songs such as "Travelers" and the title track. The brilliance and clarity of Dezarie's voice is reverently unveiled on "Exhalt". Gracious Mama Africa abounds with pleas for social justice and racial equality with selections like "Poverty" , "Strengthen Your Mind" and "Justice".

But to this listener, the strength and power of Dezarie is most strikingly displayed in her condemnation of 'so-called' civilization. "Gone Down", "Not One Penny", "Law Fe De Outlaw", "Slew Dem An Done" and "Judgment Come" all deliver conscious punches that pe*****te the soul.

After receiving Atlanta's "Best New Female Reggae Artist" award in 2001, Dezarie returned to her native island of St. Croix. Since that time, she has been working closely with Midnite’s Ron Benjamin.

2008 saw the release of “Eaze The Pain”, an album in which Dezarie’s devotion for H.I.M. provide the book-ends for poignant political and social messages on songs like “The Truth”, "Set Da Flame” and “For The People By The People”. A similar template is employed on the 2010 release “The Fourth Book”.

“Love In Your Meditation” takes the music of Dezarie to an even higher plane with outstanding vocals and harmonies punctuating powerful lyrics on selections that include “Download De Criminal”, “Return To Sender” and “Constructing Destruction”. Once again, Ron Benjamin provides exquisite instrumentation, production and vocal harmonies on this album that includes the hair-raising ballad “Stronger”.

Champion Squad is a Sound System (Dj Group) formed in the mid 90s in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a city just 15 minutes outside of Miami. The “squad” is unified as a family, and the team consists of, Dj Reem, Aston Villa, T-bone, Dre Hype, Ovadose, Jr Rollaz, and Dj Murech. Champion Squad is world renown for their creative dubplate remixes, mix-tapes, and their authentic live Dancehall and Reggae party experiences.

Champion Squad’s mixtapes has been in people’s ears globally since 2002, when they started the remix mixtape series “Space Out Of Earth” and “Dehydration”, The mixtape series was curated and mixed by Dj Reem at the age of 13, putting some of the hottest dancehall songs over hip hop instrumentals, while using word play, chopping up multiple songs in one remix to capture the attention of their audience. The creative mixtapes helped them to start touring in plenty of major destinations worldwide since 2006, including Japan, Europe, The Uk, Canada, Israel, The Caribbean, South America, Belize, Bermuda, Costa Rica, and many more. Champion Squad gained even more popularity by doing simultaneous radio shows in some of these international countries including radio shows in Nairobi, Kenya on Homeboyz Radio, Cayman Islands on Starz Fm, Vibe 103 fm in Bermuda, and of course in their home town of Florida on Mixx 96.1fm

In 2009 Champion Squad made a transition into the “sound clash” world, winning their first sound clash in a Tag Team clash alongside Kalibandulu Sound from Italy, then moving on later to clash again in 2018, winning the Destination Badda Dan clash in Florida, where the winner gets to compete in the finals in Zurich, Switzerland. Upon defeating the legendary Emperor Sound in “tune fi tune”, Champion Squad advanced to the finals in Zurich where they competed with a world cast of sound systems from England, Canada, And Israel. Using the creative dubplates they had, Champion Squad made it to the final round with A-Mar sound from Tel Aviv, Israel, defeating them in tune fi tune, winning the 2018, 123 Badda Dan Finals, taking the trophy home to Florida.
