Phoenix Games (own writing: Phoenix Games - The Only Europen Super Buget Publisher) is a partly-defunct European Group, aimed to be a "Super Budget Publisher" that released a deluge of low-effort titles for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, Microsoft Windows and the Wii

They claim to have distributed to less "mainstream game" outlets like convenience stores and newsagents to increase exposure on their releases.They also published games based on Dingo Pictures films on the PS1, PS2, Nintendo DS and Wii.

The German Videogamearchive claims that they published 99 games on the PS2 alone.[1]

Phoenix Games was devited between 3 Companies, Phoenix Games B.V., Phoenix Games LTD and Phoenix Games Asia. The Group was a exhibitor on the E3 in 2005.[2]

Phoenix Games B.V.

Founded in May 2002 by Willie Horden[3] and Paul and Steve Share, Phoenix Games They had a UK subsidiary based in Leicester. They were exhibitos of the E3 2006[4] It was located in De Pinckart 46g, 5674 CC Nuenen, Netherlands.

Phoenix Games B.V. declared bankruptcy on 3rd August 2010. On March 27,2012 the bankruptcy was suspended do to a lag of income.[5]

Phoenix Games LTD is still a active registred Company in the UK located at, 48 Boundary Rd, Newark, Notts, United Kingdom, NG24 4AL[6] The original adress was 53 Malcolm Way, Snaresbrook, London E11 1PW

Phoenix Games Asia was located at 24 Sukhumvit, Soi 11, Unit 3B, Sukhumvit Road Bangkok 10110, Thailand, Klongtoey Nua, Wattana

Games

The company's titles took only around 3-5 months to develop. At some point they planned releasing there games to the PSP. The original store prices of the games were between 6.99 - 12.99 GBP. In Italy the Company Db-line distributed the movies and games till 2007.[7] In Spain some games were distributed by Atari.[8]

Other

All 99 PS2 covers were featured on the 2013 Gamescom Art Gallery "Coverstrophen".

On the Original Boxart of Peter Pan they stole a asset of Kingdom Hearts[9]

Before and after the group exist there were companies with the same name. From 1978 to 1981 a American company made Games, best known for the game Bushido.[10] In 2019 Klaas Kersing founded a Gaming Company in Germany with the same name.[11]
