….and a better human being…

Being bad at religion is what causes people to be more open to faith and believing in God, rather than fitting into a category of a “perfect” Christian. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13:1 “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal”. This is the perfect image of religion when faith is fed by love. Similar to being a good Samaritan versus being a pharisee or a teacher of the law. Our Faith and our relationship with God is what will reflect Christ to our world and will then bring people to embrace God to find the GRACE they need to navigate their everyday lives.

We have now reached the final post in our 3-part series on marriage (or the desire thereof)

So far, we have talked about the idolatry of marriage and how to present our desire to say ‘I do’ in a healthy way to God.

Today’s post calls for solemn reflection and I pray that as you read, you are able to truthfully answer the question, without a ring on your finger, a husband to submit to or a wife to love like Christ loved the church: ‘Is Jesus alone enough?’

As a people created to be light bearers, we ought to shine for Jesus, not lose hope or allow the woes of the world to dampen our faith. Knowing His promises for us are sure, we can be confident and continue to press on, showcasing His glory for others to see and draw closer to Him.

Our prayer for you this Sunday and beyond, is that you’ll be stirred, strengthened and encouraged to continue shining because the world needs what you carry, which is Jesus 🙏🏾💖

This is a BREAK UP! This new month be determined to break up with fear and step into the fullness of what God has for you.

Everything you want to achieve, obtain and conquer is on the other side of fear! Our prayer this September is that you kick fear out of your hearts, minds and lives and rekindle a deeper relationship with God. So when fear tries to call, you are unavailable to answer because you’re busy being bold in Christ.

If you’re saying no to fear type ‘AMEN’ below, tag someone to remind them and hit ‘save’ to keep this as future inspo.

Forgiveness does not come easily for most of us. Our natural instinct is to recoil in self-protection, retaliation and revenge. We don’t naturally overflow with mercy, grace and forgiveness when we are wronged. Yet, forgiveness is how we reflect Christ, who forgave us for our wrongdoings.

Now that we have looked at ‘The Idolatry of Marriage‘ in an earlier post, we’ll be continuing the 3-part series by looking at how to present the desire of marriage to God, in a healthy way.

The first step in this is to say ‘I do’ to God. Not as practice for the day you may say ‘I do’ to your Ruth or Boaz, but as a sign of trusting His plan for your life. Knowing that come what may, His plan is for you to prosper and to bring about a future and hope – word to Jeremiah 29:11.

Having balance in our walk with God is not always easy to attain. To avoid being the believer Paul spoke about in the Bible being tossed to and fro by the ebbs and flows of doctrine and other beliefs (Ephesians 4:14) we need to achieve a certain balance to walk in the truth we have been given….

To correct or not correct?

While we’ve probably all seen something with our own log-filled eyes from a fellow believer online that we disapprove of, does that mean we should publically address it? And if we do, how do we do it?

Live on the blog we’re discussing the do’s and don’t’s of correction. Hit the link in our bio to read all about it!

For the IG comment section:
Is it ever ok to publicly correct another believer? Does relationship or proximity determine who to correct? Do we need God to tell us to do it first? And ultimately, how do we correct in LOVE?

Have you ever spent time in the word, or read a scripture over and over again only to feel you understood absolutely nothing? While we know that the word of God is imperative for our spiritual growth as believers, sometimes, reading and trying to understand it can feel so hard and overwhelming! And that’s where S.O.A.P comes into the equation. Now before you begin thinking soap is what you need to wash yourself in the word, it isn’t. Instead, S.O.A.P. is an acronym which stands for scripture, observation, application and prayer, and is a useful tool to study the word of God.

Head over to gracemagonline.com to read up on how to successfully apply the SOAP method to your bible studies! 🫧🧼 - LINKED IN STORIES

The proposal, the ring, the dress, and date nights on tap. The suit, the honeymoon and the God-approved s*x. The lifetime prayer & pillow talk partner, all of which are great and acceptable things to desire. But what happens when you place those things or the idea of a spouse above the God who created all of those things? Idolatry.

And today’s post, which is the first of a three-part series, is about the idolatry of marriage, the dangers of it, what role the church plays and the marriage you REALLY want to have!

It’s no secret that sometimes, in life, we experience burnout. Our responsibilities seem to pile up causing us to feel heavy, burdened, and tired.

In seasons of burnout, it feels easiest to just lay in bed, turn on the T.V, and try to distance ourselves as far away from the responsibilities that make us feel so tired.

But more often than not, that isn’t the best way for us to refocus and find the energy we need to press on when we feel burnt out.

Thankfully for us as believers, we have access to an unlimited supply of rest and strength. God’s Word is the ultimate source of energy, and we know that God will never put us through seasons of life He knows that we cannot handle. If we turn to Him and the truths He has given us in His word, we can speak life into our tiredness and find the strength to push through seasons that test us and make us weary.

Gone are not the days of handing out tracts, going door-to-door or using a megaphone in a busy high street to talk about Jesus. Instead, social media evangelism has entered the ring to join in the good fight of faith.

Now while some may think ‘you’re doing too much’ by signing up to every new social media app when it drops to share your faith, should we pass up on the unprecedented opportunity to use these social apps as powerful tools for sharing the Gospel?

With the ability to reach places we may never physically go, it sounds like too much of a harvest to go unattended when you consider the 4.9 billion souls using the internet.

In this post, we explore how Christians can utilize these apps to spread the Good News. So whether you’re Snapchat-ing, Facebook-ing, Spill-ing or creating Threads, read on to see how you can use your platforms to effectively bring the church to the world….wide-web.

‘Social Media Evangelism: Spreading the Gospel Online’ is LIVE on site✨

If you believe social media is a powerful tool to share your faith put the 🤳🏾 emoji below.

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves!

We are GRACE Magazine - a digital faith, fashion and lifestyle publication founded in September 2018.

Over the past four and a half years, we have been committed to sharing love, light and the message of Christ and have built a community of believers from across the world who share in this same vision.

With nine spirit-led themed issues, we’ve had the privilege to interview and feature the likes of and to name but a few.

As we've journeyed through Beauty & Grace to Back to Basics, and from Worship & Warfare to Revival, we approach our 5th year and tenth issue!

With that said, while the vision remains the same, our wordmark has updated for the fresh road of GRACE ahead.

We hope you continue to walk with us, pray for us and may we all collectively grow in GRACE.

Spring-Summer 22' came to shine its light this year, and if you were among the wise who managed to stay sober and vigilant, the arrival of the cooler months wouldn't have caught your wardrobe in a state of sun-induced unpreparedness.

And while this isn't a trumpet call announcing the soon-coming King, out of the abundance of our hearts at GRACE, the pages of this fashion dossier speaks, and it screams Autumn Winter is here!

So arise, the hour has come for you to wake up from your summer slumber and start thinking humble basics that you can layer, knitwear, and elevated maxi dressing that ooze virtue. Whatever your budget, you won't be left cold and outside, (unfashionably) foolish virgin parable style. (IYKYK)
