REBORN FROM ASHES is an old-School fanzine that brings back the whole atmosphere and essence from the early 90's (the golden era of Death Metal and Grindcore). I try to do the interviews as in depth as possible if the bands are willing to do an interesting interview. I review every CD, 7"EP or demo that I receive as long as is Metal related. The reviews are honest and reflect my personal point of
view, NO EXCEPTIONS! The history of REBORN FROM ASHES zine, goes back to the early 90’s. Back in 1991, I was doing a fanzine called EPITAPH. I was inspired after seeing Mexican fanzines like MUTILADOR and HORRIBLE. To make the story short, in the end I was unable to release EPITAPH ‘zine, so I gave all the info that I had to other ‘zines. The editors PATTY and NANCY VILLANUEVA, gave me the opportunity to join their team as co-editor. I was only with them on issue #2, because things didn’t work out. I think most of it was my fault. Then I moved to the US in 1994, and the idea to do a fanzine was dormant for many years. I mean, I always had the desire to do a fanzine, but to be honest with you, the metal scene from 1995 until early 2000’s wasn’t as interesting to me as it was in the early 90’s or nowadays. The idea to do a ‘zine got stronger sometime in 2004, but I kept making excuses. It was until early 2007 , when I said to myself “ok it’s now or never”. I've released 5 issues so far:
