TODAY IS AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMEN'S DAY
Women play vital roles in anything and everything in society, and that includes businesses as well. With more than 68 million working women, and 7.7 million women business owners in America today, just before WWII Hilary Bufton Jr. sat down in a coffee shop with Shirley Cupp, Irma Beisel, and Frances Stuckey many years ago and founded the American Business Women’s Association, at a time when it was considered socially unacceptable for women to pursue a full-time career.
Years later American Business Women’s Day was recognized - in 1983 and 1986 by Congressional resolution and a proclamation - issued by President Ronald Reagan. It honors the increasing role that women have to play in the world of business today, as well as the accomplishments of businesswomen across the nation and the world at large.
Thank you to all the women who continually strive to create economic equality for women!
HAPPY AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMEN'S DAY!
HAPPY ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY!

Award-Winning WE Magazine for Women
WE Magazine for Women – woman’s online magazine – is an International Digital Business and Lifestyle Magazine that made its debut in the fall of 2006. Our focus is on the total woman. WE’s audience consists of women who want to explore great destinations, improve their outlook on life, learn quick and easy ways to get and stay healthy, find out about the latest technology gadgets and information, and learn networking tips. Our readers become inspired as they read about women making a difference in the world and even ideas for great entertaining and learn how to more effectively and efficiently market and promote their business on and off the WEB.
The difference between WE and other magazines for women are the stories of the women found in each issue. These women are not necessarily “household names” around the globe or even in the country in which they reside. WE focuses on women who are making a difference in their part of the world – in many cases unsung heroines. The professions and people these women represent cross a multitude of industries and geographic locations. The articles are written by women. With one exception. The Column entitled “In His Words,” features contributing editors from around the globe who support and promote the work women do and in many cases work alongside.
Some of our regular features in WE include Spotlights on the women behind the various global organizations to which they belong, international business etiquette, and more. Although the theme of each issue changes, the focus remains the same, that of the total woman, be her an executive, professional or business woman. The wide-range and diversity of subjects WE covers helps us to fulfill our #1 goal to focus on our readers, “Ordinary Women, Leading Extraordinary Lives.”
The most popular channel on WE highlights 100 bloggers to watch each year. Add to that our newest 100 Women in Ecommerce™ which last year broke all our previous traffic records with more than half a million visitors reading that issue. So much so, we had to upgrade our servers to accommodate the increase in traffic. WE consistently gets 80-100 thousand visitors each month and more than double that when our quarterly publication comes out.
WE measures success by the amount of time visitors spend on the site: more than 8 minutes. They visit 5.3 pages. By comparison, in 2010 the average time spent on the site was 6.4 minutes and visited 3.7 pages. In addition WE‘s annual revenues increase by 28% annually.
In addition to 15+ regular feature editors, more than 200 media people submit content to WE Magazine each month.
IN 2010, Heidi Richards Mooney, Publisher garnered the prestigious Media Leader of the Year award from the Fort Lauderdale Chamber for using a digital publication to promote women locally and globally.
Excited about the redesign to be launched on April 1st, WE Magazine for Women truly lives up to its new tag line:
WE inspire. WE inform. WE include.
WE magazine for Women is published by WUN Publications, Inc. a media firm whose focus is on publications by, for and about women. WUN Publications is a member of Women in Ecommerce™- whose mission is to “Help Women do Business on and Off the WEB.” WE magazine is one of many tools we offer to help the members of Women in Ecommerce™ and our readers fulfill that mission.
