From our "See it in London Before it Gets Nominated for an Academy Award" file, in a surprising twist of events, France's Oscar committee has chosen the culinary romance "The Pot au Feu" (AKA "The Taste of Things" in the U.S.) over "Anatomy of a Fall," by Justine Triet, to represent the country in the Academy Award's international feature film race.

This news is a surprise because "Anatomy of a Fall" was acquired by Neon, the Oscar-making distributor behind "Parasite."

If it's good enough for the Oscar race, it's good enough for us!
