The infamous Son of Beast...

Opened in 2000 at Paramount's Kings Island. Son of Beast was originally constructed by the less than reputable Roller Coaster Corporation of America or RCCA. Part way through construction Kings Island fired RCCA and finished the project in house.

The ride operated until 2006 with the only vertical loop on a wooden coaster ever constructed, however after and incident in July of 2006, modifications were made and the loop was removed. The troubled ride would eventually give it's final rides in June of 2009.

The coaster would be demolished in 2012.
