loving mother, Jennifer Scott, JHot began to develop a love for music with much inspiration coming from his uncles (Walter "Mucho" Scott, Zachary Scott, Bass Player of Mary J. Blige, Teddy Riley, and Demetrius "Meech" Shipp) who were already in the music industry. JHot took primary interest in musical instruments such as the drum machine and keyboard at approximately 10 years of age, learning how to operate the instruments by his musically inclined uncle, Zachary Scott, who pushed him to change his new found hobby into an empowered skill set. Coming from a closely knit family, JHot being one of the youngest, spent most of his time learning how to produce music by working with his older talented cousins, Brian, "Mr. C" Drakeford, and Cornelius "C Scott" Scott, who each has individual talents from composing songs to producing tracks. JHot also took specific interest in the talk box and vocoeer, which he was inspired to play by his Uncle Walter "Mucho" Scott and Teddy Riley. From the approximate age of 15, JHot has had experience in utilizing the talk box in a variety of songs including Ray Lavender, and Blackstreet, and RaidR.
JHot has experience in making musical masterpieces that shows his creative energy, complexity, and uniqueness. JHot has developed an ear for music and takes his level of mastery to the next level with his ability to mix, arrange, produce harmony, and record excellent vocals. This gifted producer and songwriter has collaborated with great musical talents such as Akon; Ray Lavender; Diddy's Group, B5; Teddy Riley; Keith Sweat; 2XL; Blackstreet; Tank; Tyrese, Fabolous (Desert Storm/DefJam Records), Red Cafe (BadBoy/Interscope Records) and many others. JHot has also accompanied Keith Sweat and Teddy Riley on the recording of the DVD, Sweat Hotel, while touring at several venues including the Tom Joyner & Friends Cruiseline Tour. JHot also isn't afraid to go beyond his musical talents. He is currently working with Jre Riley, former contestant on Diddy’s Making the Band, with the development of Jre and the box, a new hot group.
