The storm derailed us but we are still here. Ryan Lockhart’s brilliant new album is out now on streaming and on CD in our store. Ryan is best known as the vocalist for Funeral Chic but solo he’s branching out into new territory and he’s crafted a exceptionally well written Americana/Country album weaving elements from his punk and hardcore youth into his lyrics. Don’t snooze on this one.

So proud of this one!

Action Patrol was a monumental influence during my formative years. They were one of the first local punk bands I really got into, though sadly I never saw them live because my parents wouldn’t let me drive to Richmond on a school night. I first heard the “Up And Running” EP via a dubbed cassette tape that got passed around my group of friends. I was immediately obsessed. “The Weak Force” LP was one of the first vinyl records I ever bought after discovering local distro/store Lumberjack. When I started my own distro a couple years later, AP’s “On Patrol” CD was one of the first items I stocked. Essential s**t right here. Bitter Melody Records has done the world a service by remastering/reissuing this discography.
