Dieu est fidèle, God is faithful!

We are thankful for God's faithfulness while driving to the capital, Lomé (pronounced Lomay), we spotted this reminder on a taxi and realized again how faithful God is each time we make the 2+ hour trip for business or shopping. There are some other photos that help you understand why we are thankful for God’s faithful protection.

He is faithful as we received our cartes des séjours! This time we picked up our cartes des séjours and spent a day celebrating our anniversary. We are thankful for His faithfulness to us in our 25 years of marriage.

God is faithful to encourage & challenge. Sherri had a wonderful trip to Thailand for a ladies retreat and was able to explore God’s beautiful world and get a new burden for those working in darkness. Mercy beaucoup and many thanks to those who made this trip possible!

Happy International Women’s Day! Along with others in our community, Sherri was honored to be invited to a special local celebration. A speech from a community leader, lots of food and friends made this a
very special day!
Many of the ladies joked with each other that the men (husband) needed to cook dinner tonight while all the while knowing what an older friend said - it wouldn’t really happen.

A Special Sunday

Today was a very special Sunday! On many Sundays, our family has the joy of going to a small church called Bemé Tutu here in Togo. In the Togolese culture, sometimes someone will stand up and praise God for healing them or protecting them, and then they may sing a song in front of the whole church to give the glory to God. Today was one of those Sundays! This past week God protected Pasteur Edouard's wife, Renaud, and her close friend from a bad motorcycle accident. She was slightly injured, but the Lord spared her life. The whole family got up and praised the Lord in front of the church in song. Thank you for not only praying for our family, but also for those that we work and serve with.

This same small church is getting ready to move out of their small hut very soon as the Lord has provided more funding for the roof of the new building! Daniel was able to advise a little and help with the design of the trussing.

We were so humbled hear that our sending church, North Florida Baptist Church family prayed for us as part of their missions moment. We love hearing from many of you as well that you are praying for our family on a regular basis. A special friend has our picture in front of her during her time with the Lord. Thank you! We know God hears and is using your prayers to accomplish His will in our lives and ministry here in Togo. We cannot say thank you enough.

Giving Tuesday and Year End Opportunities

We are thankful for the blessing of living in Togo, and serving the Lord with the gifts He has given us. The potential for Studios Vérité in our area in collaboration with other ministries is exciting and daunting.

With the blessing of serving in Togo, we are also challenged with needing funds for family, ministry and schooling travels. Some of you have graciously asked us to let you know when we have additional needs. We appreciate this kindness and provide these needs below.

Ministry update:

We love being back in Togo! We've settled in well and things are moving! Click the "Open Updates" button to see ALL the pictures of this post online and enjoy them. Rejoice with us as the Lord continues His work. At present, Studios Vérité is taking two days each week in production of audiovisual materials, and two days each week finishing up needed construction tasks. As construction soon comes to an end we look forward to launching more Bible based audiovisual projects! The Ewe Old Testament recording continues, and praise the Lord, the men are close to finishing up the book of Jeremiah! Pray with us for continued good health for our co-laborers and for our family, also, continued safety during the work.

We are thankful for our weekly Sunday night services and Wednesday night prayer times as a team. In addition, there is teen youth group twice a month, and we were able to host this month as well as be a part of a Reformation party for this teen group.

As you may recall, we received most of our equipment on the last container, when we benefited from a partial tax exoneration, giving us lower taxes! Please pray specifically for the current container that has the last of the Studios' equipment, now arriving in port. It is sounding like we will be charged more for this container, and we are trusting the Lord for whatever comes our way.

Stopped by to sit with a friend for a few minutes who sells produce near our house. I requested 500cfa (about $1) each - grapefruit & avocado and she gave me all this for $2. I had a bag with me but thankfully she put it all in a box! Produce & workout! ✅ ~Sherri

We've had a warm welcome back to Togo! It's now been a couple of weeks since we arrived, and we've been enjoying saying hellos and getting settled into our new apartment. We've downsized from a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath to a 720 square foot apartment. Yes, it's small, but we are very content and excited about this new phase in our ministry. Daniel has been making final touches, like installing a gas stove, pressurizing water - so it actually comes out the faucet :), and starting to unpack the Studios' equipment that arrived on the last container. Sherri has also been busy with sanitizing items that we left on a container (lots of dust and cobwebs), and finding the right spot for those items in the apartment, while also deciding which items to pass along. We are busy and it's a little crazy at the moment, but we will soon hit our new normal!

Thank you for your prayers for our family! Marcus and Luke are doing well at Word of Life, and Selah is enjoying seeing her friends here in Togo and the start of her JR. year of High School.

Selah’s passport arrived!

Many of you have been praying with us that Selah’s passport would arrive soon. We are thankful to report that it just arrived! Praise the Lord, He continues to prepare the way for us to return to Togo!

Not only that, we applied for our visas for entry and we had an email waiting for us this morning already approving them! We thank Him for preparing our way!

We have an expense of our tickets for returning to Togo. We’ve had a couple gifts towards this purchase, and we know that the Lord will also provide this need!

Thank you, GA, for giving us a taste of FL weather today where we are heading to this weekend. We’ll end up @ WOL and are excited to see Marcus and for L & S to attend Pursuit Camp. We look forward to visiting with and updating some of our ministry partners in GA and FL and learning about a great opportunity for Studio Vérité to partner with Megavoice. Thank you for your prayers for us, for travel safety, and that we will honor the Lord as we share what He is doing in us and in Togo.
