The last part of our stay in the Yukon consisted of a stop at Watson Lake to put our quickly fabricated sign on a tress in the famous sign post forest. We then spent 3 nights in Kluane national park where we hiked, explored and listened to a talk by a first nations teacher and guide. Our last stop was back in Whitehorse where we toured the points of interest and came upon a group of carvers crafting a canoe out of an 800 year old tree

We travelled from the Artic Circle to Inuvik and then a day trip to Tuktoyaktuk on the Artic Ocean or Beauport Sea. Quite the journey with some interesting challenges and road conditions. Met many kind and helpful people along the way.

Drive from Dawson City towards Inuvik and stopped for the night at the Artic Circle.

Travelled from Whitehorse to Dawson City yesterday and enjoyed a walk around the town. Sunset was at 10:32 so had time to take in some sights. Very surprised by the town and not what we expected. Streets are not paved and you really get a sense of the history. We will take a river tour today with a local Indigenous guide who grew up along the river. On the way from Whitehorse we stopped for what is claimed to be the best and largest cinnamon bun in the world at Braeburn lodge

We are now in the Yukon and camped at Watson Lake where we visited the Sign Post Forest. An amazing feeling walking through the signs that people from all over the world have posted. There are more than 90,000 signs now. The next day we left for Whitehorse where we are now for one night. On the way we stopped at Teslin to visit the cultural Center. I met the former chief of the local tribe and chatted about the history of the place. He was the chief when they were granted self governing. A great leader. Our own Chief made himself home in our back seat

Started our trip on a Monday morning and drove for five days to Morden Manitoba. First night in North Bay at a Hip Camp farm. Last night was at Gordon Lake near Kenora ON. This was free crown land camping. We met Dean who brought us out on his boat to tour the lake and watch the sunset
