The question of freedom of the press and freedom for journalists and media personnels to operate freely in a country is supposed to be a democratic right in a country which preaches democracy.
But in a country like guyana it's not so, where these rights are stripped from it citizens and placed in the hands of favorable people who are somewhat affiliated with the ruling party, is not something that you would see in a democratic environment. Such behavior would be more common in a communist environment. So with that said any opportunity of owning or controlling such media outlets such as newspapers, television or radio stations are outlawed. You don't even have to take a course in political science to know this, but the Guyanese government are so confident that it's citizens are so illiterate to these facts that they practice these things that I speak about without no fear of retaliation from no opposition party or challanges from its citizens. Something I determine as ostrich syndrome, where you bury your head in the sand and think no one else is seeing you. Such things probably would've worked in the dinosaur ages when there was no social media. So as smart as they are I would've taught they would've known that, when a child on tik tok could have more likes and views than a president, a prime minister or even the king of England. So in this twentieth century there trying to run a country like a cow pen forgetting the amount of flies that would be attracted to the stench that it gives off. Unfortunately the world and the United Nations does not see things through that same spectacle.
