Cross-cultural fusion in it’s finest form Bliz Nochi absorbs, then projects the endlessly intriguing combinations of instrumentation, rhythms and melodies of the world. In the title track Zagaria, he recorded his own vocal on top of a driving indie-inspired track with nods to the timelessness of this work. Initially, Ergen Deda was a traditional Bulgarian folk song performed in a variety of manners, but Bliz’s path would guide him to a peculiar incidence. While in Goa, he happened upon a spirited DJ who happened to introduce him to Yonka Dragomanska, who kindly agreed to perform the vocal for this most modern iteration of the classic song.

On remix duties, Hungary’s ultra unique and rising talent Sobek reinterprets Ergen Deda into a moody peak-time altered state inducing punch to the chest. And finally label head Nathan Hall puts a driving, indie spin on Zagaria, with wild moments of tension and relief.

With a deep love of jazz and a desire to explore the intersection of electronic and acoustic elements, Soble has provided us with a stunning piece of timeless downtempo. Laden with a thick foundation of slow rhythms, warm horns and expressive and vivid synthesis. Each track is crafted around a variety of field-recordings collected during his travels then unfused with live instrumentation and an arsenal of staple synths and sound generators. This, truly hybrid approach yields a distinct balance of complex layers and textures organized in an elegant and quite delicate fashion.

In true Nillo fashion, after nearly a 3 year unannounced hiatus from releasing original music, an album emerges. Upon first listen it becomes glaringly obvious, he went away to plunge deeper into the source of sound alchemy. To get to know his machines. And to invite spontaneity and synchronicity to dance hand in hand around a raging midnight fire.

Percussion pervades the album as one would expect, often played live and layered in blissful chaos. In a new turn, synthesized percussives infiltrate the soundscape in a most powerful and austere fashion, bringing with it a whole new dimension of depth. Beautiful, almost contradicting arrays of strings, vocals and distorted synth pads are placed throughout make this Nillo's most congruent and intriguing work. True to it's name, Rituali is a groove-conscious foray into the heart of the fusion dancefloor movement. Tribal tones, lush tenors and swirling atmospheres cut straight to center. Riding the lines between light and darkness these two tracks speak to Chalanga's clear understanding of the power of the human tendency toward ritual.
Contrasting yet complimentary remixes by Lello Fusco and Kalu, who both explore the deeper and darker sides of the originals.

In a surprising act of aural juggling, Italy's DJ Puk has honed his sound to incorporate many seemingly opposite ideals into one cohesive and timeless package. With gritty basslines and heavy handed percussives contrasted with subtle yet soaring melodies and samples to soothe the troubled soul. “Todo Es Ahora” is an encounter with consciousness in relation to the transit of the present in the events of the body. A contrast between the mysterious forces that draw us to the world, that primal connection, and the deep dissociation created by human beings between them and the Earth.

With his debut album , Quito's Esteban Sanchez aka Isla Saturno has gone searching. In this search, he discovered great depth and peeled back many layers of nuance and emotion. It's an extremely sensitive journey, at times soothing, at times more thought provoking and melancholy. Esteban finds a way to effortlessly blend more traditional rhythms and instrumentation with modern production and synthesis, like it was always meant to be that way. Calling on a number of collaborators, Esteban has produced a series of songs to highlight the title and in fact write in bold, Todo Es Ahora.

Tonfigur, like Sakuro's music has a double meaning. In German, it translates to a clay figure, while also the word "ton" can be used in reference to a sound. The shaping of substance and sound is of particular interest to Sakuro, as you can hear in his debut album. The double meaning you will hear, is regarding the play of dark and light, electronic and organic. With deep, booming bottom end, and sparkling and floating horns and percussion. Down-pitched and distorted vocal samples, paired with clear and crisp vocal contributions. Sakuro has spared no detail, there's something almost secretive and esoteric about the LP, it's a heavy listen that will leave you feeling light. Yes, it can do just that.

Part psych, part world, part tribal. The aptly named duo Mushrooms Project have an ease in which they blend a range of unique elements into cohesive and heady pieces of sonic art. Mondo Janga is an EP that avoids formula entirely, and can be club or home centrepieces. In our ears, their signature sound blends playful percussion, and a strong contingent of sample and synth exploration. That sound is showcased perfectly in these 3 tracks.

​​Carefully selected artists were enlisted to re-interpret the original visions. With 3 remixes of the title track Multi Culti’s Thomas Von Party took Janga to the late hours, with his deep and driving remix. While Twerking Class Heroes put their broken beat bliss stamp on the same and finally a tasteful and elegant organic interpretation by Italy’s rising Migra. Finally, Da Iguana slinks his way to another quirky and exciting remix of Mondo that will have you jumpin’.

Trippin Jaguar will guide you along with his sound that rides the line between lucid and transcendental.
