THURSDAY NEWS is a regular feature covering paranormal, eerie, and weird recent news items.
From our friends at "Coast To Coast AM" comes this story from Tim Binnall:
A security system in Wales captured footage of an eerie anomaly in a woman's backyard and some suspect that the strange 'visitor' could have been a ghost. The perplexing scene reportedly unfolded earlier this year, though only came to light this past week.
The case began when homeowner Julie Byrne suspected that there was some kind of rodent roaming around her property, which led her to occasionally checking her security system in the hopes of spotting the critter in action. However, while reviewing the footage one morning, she was astounded to see a ghostly figure lingering in her backyard.
"It didn't register as a motion or an activity on the footage," she later recalled, "it was a shock." Although Byrne insisted that she does not believe in ghosts, the homeowner conceded that she cannot explain the spooky interloper in her yard.
To that end, she noted that the figure appears to go through a fence on her property, which would seemingly preclude a person with a light or a reflection. Byrne also dismissed the possibility that the anomaly could have been a spider or a similar insect made to look supernatural by way of a trick of light and shadow as she has previously noticed such bugs on the footage and marveled that "I've never seen anything like this before."
Although she remains an ardent skeptic when it comes to ghosts, Byrne revealed that the footage has led her to giving the concept something of a second thought, musing that "I think I believe more in spirits now." As for the identity of the perceived apparition, the homeowner did not have any particular suspect in mind, though she did liken its movements to an old man hunched over and "pottering around" the backyard.
Despite the footage possibly changing Byrne's opinion on ghosts, skeptics will no doubt argue that the 'spirit' is simply a camera glitch or the result of something similarly prosaic. With that in mind, what do you think of the weird footage?
