Obrian Obert Mapurisa is WANTED for hiring five South African-based hitmen to kill his business partner

Obert was planning to kill Tendai Chipindu (44) following a botched US$800,000 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tankers importation deal. The deal, which was for the importation of LPG gas tankers from Italy, was agreed upon two years ago.

He then hired five South Africa-based Zimbabwean hitmen to kill businessman Oliver Chipindu. The names of the hitmen are as follows: Moses Monde (37); Marlvin Manzinde (30); Malvin Tatenda Nyamuranga (33); Nobert Muponda (45); and Joshua Mapuranga (41).

Sources said the five hitmen traveled to Harare from Cape Town in the first week of March from South Africa to look for their target. They then failed to locate him and spent a week staying at a lodge in Avondale, Harare, where they were later nabbed.

The hitmen were arrested by detectives from CID Homicide following a tip-off.

Obert Mapurisa is currently on the run.

Botswana police on the hunt for 4 Zimbabweans who escaped from prison and went on to r@pe a local woman

The men are classified as dangerous, and the public is cautioned to be on the lookout.

The men are Abraham Sibanda (26) who has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for offences of r@pe, house breaking, resisting arrest and entering Botswana through an ungazetted point of entry.

There is also Godfrey Moyo (29) who has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for r@pe.

The last two – Last Ndlovu (27) and Thabani Moyo (36) – are remands for the offences of r@pe and robbery respectively.

A 34-year-old ZRP officer r@ped an 18 year old girl school girl

On the day, the ZRP officer was in his police uniform when he met the complainant when she was on a bus to Rushinga in September 2023. She was on her way to boarding school and he sat next to her on the bus.

When the ZRP officer noticed that the complainant had alcoholic cocktail gummies in her possession he threatened to report her to the school authorities. As they arrived at Mary Mount Business Centre, he ordered the complainant to accompany him to the Police base so he could record her statement. At the Police base, he detained her in a locked room for 30 minutes before offering her a beer which she refused. He also offered her water which she refused to drink.

The accused person then ordered the complainant to call her parents using his cellphone advising them that she had arrived safely at school, before he began fondling her. When she resisted, he threatened to report her to the school authorities. He took her to his bedroom where he engaged in sexu@l relations with her once with protection but without her consent. The complainant managed to sneak out early the following morning and went to school.

The matter came to light when the school authorities noticed that the complainant had reported to school in the morning of the 27th September 2023 rather than the previous day. Upon investigation the complainant revealed the details of her ordeal. A police report was made leading to the arrest of the accused person who was positively identified at an identification parade.

The ZRP officer was sentenced to 15 years by the Bindura Magistrates' Court for r@pe.

Two suspected poachers were gunn*d down and three others were arrested early today in the Katombora area, Zambezi Valley, after an exchange of fire with Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority rangers. The rangers recovered 15 elephant tusks, a .375 rifle, and five rounds of ammunition after the sho*tout.

This event brings back memories of the recent poaching of six elephants in the Gwayi-Shangani Conservancy. This serves as a reminder of the brutal poison*ng of over 80 elephants in 2013 in the Hwange National Park, which is Southern Africa's largest game reserve.
