Tune into MVFM 96.9 (https://mvfm.com.au/) at 5pm this afternoon and tomorrow night at 7pm, to hear Episode 18 of The Celtic Seisiún with Amy Dillon! Sorry it has been such a long while for this new one folks, I hope you have been enjoying the replay of this season so far on MVFM. and studies have kept me busy this year! 😅
In this episode, I interview our very own Tassie-based Irish-prose poet, Julie Breathnach-Banwait, about her poetry, life growing up in a Connemara Gaeltacht, and how language shapes who we are as individuals and as a society. We'll also hear some of her beautiful poetry and a few of her favourite Irish language songs! You can purchase copies of Julie's books at Bobtail Books, https://bobtailbooks.com.au/books/.

This is also my last and final episode for The Celtic Seisiún, at least for now. I have had so much fun recording these shows and am so grateful to the wonderful guests who have joined me for the Chats and Tunes segments. I am also massively grateful to Meander Valley Community Radio for allowing me to host my show on their radio, and especially to LJ at the station who showed me the ropes and has supported my endeavours, being my biggest fan since day dot 💚.
You’ll be able to find links to past shows here at my page and also by visiting https://celticara.wixsite.com/home/the-celtic-seisiun.
May you all continue on your own journeys of ancestral connection to place and stories through Celtic and Celtic native language music!
So, tabhair aire agus slán go fóill - take care and goodbye for now! 💚
