The American Farm Network
We all like food! And too many of us take it for granted that food magically appears on our table. It’s important for us to keep telling the story and inform people about the farmers, ranchers and leaders in agriculture who work to make our food supply a safe, abundant, and affordable reality. It’s also important that American Consumers hear directly from the farmers who produce our food. That’s why we created the American Farm Network. This is the place where farmers and consumers can connect, and learn from each other. The American Farm Network is owned and produced by Award-Winning film maker and “Agvocate,” Conrad Weaver. Conrad has produced the Mid-America EMMY® Award-Winning Great American Wheat Harvest documentary, and just recently finished Thirsty Land – the story about the impact drought is having on agriculture in the American West. Our plan is to produce a weekly facebook LIVE show featuring the movers and shakers in the agriculture community, both locally in the Mid-Atlantic region and from around the country. Our goal is to be a voice for the American Farmer and to provide an educational resource to connect farmers with the American consumer on topics related to local agriculture, farming, ranching, food production in a fun, entertaining, educational, and thought-provoking manner. Each LIVE event will feature an interview with a leader in agriculture: farmers, ranchers, farm business leaders, farm bureau representatives, state and government leaders, and “agvocates” who are making a difference in the world. Be sure to sign up for our emails, so you won’t miss an episode! If you know someone who would be a great interview for us, please send us a note!
