This book... This book is going to stay with me for a minute.
last month I read Dear Mr. Brody and fell in love with the best friend in that story, Marcos.
Marcos is the flamboyant gay best friend who uses humor and insults to protect his battered heart. And I love him. He deserves ALL THE LOVE!
This is Marcos' love story and it is everything he deserves. The humor and banter in this book is 🤌🏼 *chef's kiss* I laughed, I cheered, I kicked my feet, I screamed and I cried.

There's a sportsball season finale happening tonight but I am reading a book like no other book I've ever read.
In the best way.
Both main characters are broken and flawed. There are no warm fuzzy feelings shared between them (at least not yet) and while this book is absolutely enemies to lovers (heavy on the enemies) I'm not yet convinced they will ever be friends.
This book is so far out of my comfort zone of what I typically read I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it. But I have devoured it. I started it Friday night at work and I will finish it before the final rose ceremony at the sportsball finale tonight.

To say I devoured this duet yesterday would be an understatement. These books checked all the boxes for me. I am a little heartbroken that I will never be able to read them for the first time again.

People are not talking about this book nearly enough. This book is a roller coaster of emotions. The spice be spicy (🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️⚔️) and the plot twists are a mindf**k. This is part one of a duet and it will leave you breathless, wanting more.
PS the audiobook is narrated in part by Teddy Hamilton

I spent the weekend reading a mafia romance trilogy and falling in love with three new book boyfriends. I alternated between audiobook and Kindle version because Troy Duran growling "Good girl" in my ear just does it for me.😅
After reading these books I’m not sure I can go back to a vanilla romance.
