Despite Covid Covent Garden seems to look even more amazing than usual during this season. It is nonetheless sad to see the place so empty and even more sad to think how this restrictive Christmas will look like. But if there is something that 2020 taught me is that we should never take anything for granted and we should indeed learn to enjoy every little thing.
A walk in the park, the possibility to get out and exercise , the beautiful lights that you can still admire, that take away coffe or tea that you can still get and it does warm you up although there’s no cozy place where you can sit and enjoy it while feeling the festive atmosphere, there’s not much of that around and even the gorgeous Christmas lights around the city look a bit sad. So yes it could have been better but no matter where we are at this moment in time and what are the difficulties that we are facing there are so many people around the world that are suffering and going trough restrictions not for a year or a season but every single day of their life and we never do much for them because we are so busy complaining about what we don’t have while we do indeed have so much more than they ever will. So no matter how this Christmas will turn out I decided that I will keep on being grateful for the fee things that I do have or that I can still do. What about you?
