Today is a celebration of the GOAT...let’s start in 1974 where we find one of Chicago’s finest vocal groups, The Chi Lites on their 7th album, TOBY . Driven by the vocals and production of lead singer Eugene Record,“That’s How Long” explores the peaks and valleys of a endless, timeless, unbreakable love.
On December 4th 1969, (the same day Black Panther revolutionary Fred Hampton was murdered) Hov was born.
“December 4th” is a Audio autobiography....on this Just Blaze produced track: the soul, emotion and beautiful orchestration of “Thats How Long” creates a sonic foundation for Jay to not only express his unbreakable love for music...but we also get a RARE appearance from Jay Z’s mother , Gloria Cater expressing that same endless, timeless, unbreakable love as a mother watching her son grow, face challenges in this world and exceed ALL expectations .
Happy Birthday Hov! We love you . #rescueseason
Hov’s tales of D’evils kept us off the corner. Happy Birthday to the greatest to ever touch a mic @JayZ 🐐

The Plaza "Mama"
NEW MUSIC: The Suburban Plaza "Mama"
This song was written and recorded after the death of Mike Brown. We couldn't fathom the level of tragedy that was to follow his untimely death, shortly after, we saw murder after murder of our brothers and sisters at an alarming rate with little to no justice. As artists, our purpose is to articulate exactly how we feel about the world around us through our art and as young black men the current social climate in our country is nothing short of sickening. To live every day feeling as if you're in a nightmare that will never end until your people are completely terminated is indeed physically, mentally and emotionally draining. It forces us to be overprotective of our mothers, sisters and daughters - to remind our brothers and sons of the danger that awaits them in the world daily. We wrote this song to convey the brutal honesty of life as a minority in this country and to maybe instill a glimmer of hope for our future as a race and a country. We love you all and pray for nothing but peace and prosperity for all of us
Goodness will guide us if love is inside us,
