Andor 1.9 Nobody's Listening marks the second appearance by Christopher Fairbank.
As this is the ninth episode of the first season of Andor, Fairbank had earlier been in NuWho's own ninth episode of Peter Capaldi's own first season as the Doctor.
Nobody's Listening is similar in name to Listen the said first Capaldi season of Doctor Who.
In fact Listen is the fourth episode of the 12 episode first Capaldi episode season and the Andor episode is at the opposite end of its own 12-episode first season as it is the fourth to last episode of it.

June 18 2024 marked ten years since the release of Destroy the Infinite from Big Finish.
Destroy The Infinite is the antepenultimate story of The Fourth Doctor Adventures season 3.
Also featuring Leela.
Written and directed by Nick Briggs.
Destroy The Infinite depicts the Doctor’s first ever meeting with the Eminence even though Big Finish had earlier released stories with the Eminence with the Sixth and Eighth Doctors.
I thought it was a very good introductory of the menace that is the Eminence and impressive when Leela was calmed when she got told off for stopping an attack.
I thought it was very good on the Doctor explaining on why he could not join in the celebration on the defeat of the Eminence especially since it is still out there.

June 18 2024 marks ten years since the release of Masquerade from Big Finish.
Written by Stephen Cole.
The final in a trilogy of stories from 2014 with the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa.
The trilogy began with Moonflesh which introduced the character of Hannah Bartholomew.
Hannah would become a companion as the next story Tomb Ship revealed that she had stowed away in the TARDIS and Masquerade marks her final story.
Reading back to what I wrote about Masquerade in 2016 I had found Masquerade a truly disappointing end to this trilogy as the story felt like a mess, the Steamroller Man is not menacing enough but felt saddened how this story and the trilogy ended.

The Golden Ones is a comic strip story from DWM in issues 425-28 between August 19 and November 18 2010.
Featuring the Eleventh Doctor and Amy.
Written by Jonathan Morris with art by Martin Geraghty and David A. Roach.
This is a fan-made presentation of the story.
This story has the Doctor and Amy helping out UNIT Japan as Japan has children being addicted to a new drink and a TV show called Goruda.
The drink in question has the children turned telepathic and golden!
What is behind all this is an old enemy of the Doctor's, one that he and UNIT encountered once in the classic series but hasn't to this day on NuWho.
This truly developed a very enthralling story as the Doctor finds a way to combat this old enemy of his before The Golden Ones can engulf the whole of Japan.
Very good how the action and development unfolded up to its denouement.

While this episode, as indicated by its title, is about what happened during a flood, Peter Capaldi's own second season as the Doctor has an episode about what happened before a flood as indicated by its title Before The Flood.

Merry Little Batman:
Released in 2023, Merry Little Batman is an animated movie and the title refers to Damian Wayne, son of Bruce (aka Batman) as he goes off his own adventure becoming the said Little Batman at Christmas.
Here Little Batman encounters various villains including the Joker and Batman
Overall a pretty enjoyable adventure with Little Batman.
After seeing this film read that a TV series follow-up to this entitled Bat-Family is in development.
Somehow I should not be surprised by the development of a TV series based on this film.

In the Behind the Scenes on Doctor Who: Boom, writer Steven Moffat says about the Doctor being trapped on a landmine and that the Doctor is left with his superweapon and that is the Doctor can talk like hell and that he can talk anyone to defeat.
That is easily my superweapon when it came to people who objected to me being the Vice President of Spocksoc by sending me unwelcome emails with no explanation other than technicality and red tape why I am not the Vice President.
I instead have maintained firmly why I am the Vice President and these objectors ultimately stopped sending me these emails as they know full well I will simply accordingly outside of emailing respond to what they say in their emails.
They simply fail to provide any adequate non-red tape reason why I am not the Vice President.
Failure to demonstrate why I am not the Vice President means I am the Vice President and will continue to be Vice President until I am relieve of this position and I intend to continue as Vice President for an indefinite period.

Boom marked an unexpected Doctor Who debut by Varada Sethu who had been announced prior to the start of this current season that she has become a companion for the next season in 2025 alongside Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson.
In Boom, Sethu plays Mundy Flynn and her companion character is reportedly named Belinda but this has not been officially confirmed.

Davison plays Richard Baxter who begins a date with Anne Lloyd played by series regular Barbara Flynn.
Flynn had been in Doctor Who: Flux playing Tectuen, the Doctor's mother.
So basically Beyond Paradise has the Doctor dating his mother!

Doctor Who 44.3 Boom:
Written by former showrunner Steven Moffat, writing his first episode for the series since the Peter Capaldi swansong Twice Upon A Time which was also Moffat's own swansong as showrunner.
I was surprised on seeing Moffat and Julie Anne Robinson, the director of this episode, getting executive producers credits.
On reflection now I should not be surprised on Moffat getting such a credit due to him being a former showrunner plus it seems an American thing to do (due to Disney+) giving visiting contributors such a credit.
On the latter point, Robinson received an executive producer credit when she directed the pilot of Selfie starring Karen Gillan which was Robinson's only work on that series.
While this episode is called Boom written by former showrunner Moffat, current showrunner Russell T. Davies had written the similarly named Boom Town during RTD's previous stint as showrunner and is the episode that came straight after The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, Moffat's official debut as a Doctor Who writer.
I didn't realise until afterwards that playing Mundy Flynn here was Varathu Sethu.
Sethu had been announced as a new companion alongside 15 and Ruby in the next season.
Sethu therefore makes her unexpected Doctor Who debut in this episode and is not the first person to make her debut in Doctor Who prior to playing a major Doctor Who character.
For this episode Moffat brings back elements from his previous work in Doctor Who.
This starts with military clerics and one of them John Francis Vater gets killed when he steps on a landmine.
The landmine comes from the Villengard weapons manufacturing company.
Villengard was first mentioned in The Doctor Dances also written by Moffat and this planet itself makes its appearance in Twice Upon A Time.
Despite Vater being killed off this early on, it was not the last we see of Vater as he then appears as a hologram.
Shortly after Vater's death, the Doctor and Ruby arrived on the planet and the Doctor accidentally steps on the landmine.
The focus of this episode from this point on is figuring on how to get the Doctor out of the landmine without him getting killed.
The Vater hologram plays its part in solving this problem plus having to deal with a menace that is the Villengard ambulance (not an ambulance the viewer would normally see).
Whilst on a landmine the Doctor says about doing things the long way around.
Moffat had previously wrote the long way around line for the Twelfth Doctor.
The Doctor also makes a quote about the moon and the President's wife. This is something Missy had said in The Magician's Apprentice also written by Moffat.
The military clerics came on the planet to fight an enemy known as the Kastorians and the Doctor figuring who the Kastorians are ultimately helps to get the Doctor out of the landmine.
Pretty thrilling episode that is about the Doctor getting out of that landmine.
I certainly didn't expect that Moffat spent much of his Doctor Who return with the Doctor literally stuck at one place.
The Doctor early on being stuck on the landmine soon realised that this is Ruby's first time on an alien planet.
I also didn't expect Ruby spending much of her time on her first planet on one part of it due to the Doctor on the landmine.
After the Doctor gets out of the landmine, Ruby only gets to view another part of the planet for two minutes before she and the Doctor leaves.
Before I got to see Boom I got wind that the Doctor makes reference here to fish fingers and custard which is his favourite.
Moffat of course established that the Eleventh Doctor likes fish fingers and custard which was invented by that Doctor himself.
I thought that 15 was going to eat fish custard himself but instead it was only a reference.
The subject of snow comes up in this episode and snow in connection with Ruby first came up in her debut The Church on Ruby Road.
Two episodes before Boom, snow was shown in Space Babies also directed by Robinson.
Curiously enough Boom ends with a sight of a snowflake!

Saw the movie The Body Stealers which was released in March 1969.
It featured Sally Faulkner, Ralph Carrigan and Clfford Earl, all of whom were in Doctor Who: The Invasion which came months earlier in 1968 between November 2 and December 21.
Of a particular note to Doctor Who fans is the alien spacecraft seen in The Body Stealers is the same one used as the Dalek flying saucer in the movie Daleks Invasion Earth 2150AD (1966).

Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators season 4 finale is called I No More Desire a Rose.
Curiously Mark Benton (Hathaway) and Jo Joyner (Shakespeare) both met Doctor Who's Rose.
For Benton it is not the first time he has been in an episode with Rose in its title as Benton played Clive in the simply named Rose that marked the debut of NuWho while Joyner was at the exact opposite end of NuWho's first season with her as Lynda in the first season's final story Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways.

Saw Time season 2 starring Jodie in which she plays a prisoner hence the series title meaning to serve time.
I came across someone making a joke that this time (no pun intended) there was no Captain Jack to get her out of prison in reference Captain Jack breaking her as the Doctor out of prison in Revolution of the Daleks.
While Captain Jack was not able to break Jodie out of prison again, in Time however Jodie gets reunited with two people she had worked with during her time as the Doctor that of Siobhan Finneran (The Witchfinders) and Julie Graham (Ascencion of the Cybermen/The Timeless Children).
Finneran is actually a holdover from the previous season of Time which Jodie was not in.
