There Is No Marketing Strategy Formula!
There's a lot that goes into developing a marketing strategy! But there really is no be-all, end-all formula!
We've all done it. Bought into a specific framework or formula that a keynote speaker or high-power marketer lays out for us. It feels like if we could just get our team/superiors/co-workers to adopt this framework, all of our #marketing woes would be solved.
There is no formula.
I've tried to follow a number of different frameworks as a #b2bmarketing professional and as a #contentmarketer, but there is no on-size-fits-all solution.
You have take a hybrid approach to these frameworks. There are lots of people, that are a lot smarter than me, writing books and developing strategies, but they don't know your situation. Nothing will fit perfectly.
You know your business. You know your industry. The only way to make your marketing more successful is to leverage your knowledge and take some risks!
Safe marketing is never good marketing!

The best marketing is rarely safe! Know your tools, know your outlets, and start throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.
#digitalmarketing is fast-paced, and the best way to get something out of it is to embrace the cold... embrace the uncomfortable!
People have long said, "step outside of your box," but even more so, embrace what makes you feel uneasy! You might be surprised at how much it can help!

This week, I've been at #AU2018! That's Autodesk University, which is the mecca for all things Autodesk. Everything from #CAD and #CAM to hashtag#architectural design.

This year, @Autodesk really emphasized their generative design process, which they started talking about a couple years ago. I was skeptical then, but now you can use the software workflow to determine what you manufacturing process will be and the generative design follows suit.
It's a new era when generative design really takes hold, and everything is designed to be the lightest, strongest, and most efficient it can possibly be!

I got to visit Alex Crease from Markforged to talk #3Dprinting again! But this time, we figured out why it's so important in industry and what makes it different from all those toy printers on your desktop.
Also, I got lost a few times at the convention center... #Atlanta tradeshows are huge and I just can't figure this place out!

Day two of #FABTECH2018 and I finally made it to hall C, where all the #welding happens! Let's talk about #smallbusiness and #bigbusiness, while watching all the sparks fly!
I got the chance to meet Cory Harris from Licoln Electric Welders and Fabrication and talk automate welding for the #automotive industry. Then, I met the very cool folks at Super Duty Fans. AND, I got to stop by the 3M booth to see some #anglegrinder competition get underway!

Manufacturing Is Going to SHRINK
#Manufacturing is going to shrink, there I said it! But not in the way you might think! The businesses doing most of the manufacturing are just going to get smaller!
The future of this industry will shy away from monster organizations and corporations, and is already starting to get populated by smaller, artisan manufacturers.
