RSTLIVE-What started as a lil myspace page in 2007 soon there after morphed into one of the most controversial websites almost over night here on the Rosebud due to one unfortunate incident by a then RST Council Representative-

“Today is a sad day for Indigenous Peoples and justice everywhere. The U.S. Parole Commission’s denial of parole for Leonard Peltier, America’s longest serving Indigenous political prisoner, is a travesty,” said Nick Tilsen, president and CEO of NDN Collective. “They denied parole to a survivor of genocidal Indian boarding schools as he struggles to survive this unjust incarceration, they insist on holding him for a crime for which they have no physical evidence against him.”

✊🏽 NDN Collective will continue to demand freedom for Leonard Peltier as his attorneys file an appeal of this decision and push for a grant of clemency from President Joe Biden.

For Immediate Release Oglala Sioux Tribe Plans to turn the recently purchased Bennett County School into a Residential Treatment and Detoxification Center Pine Ridge, South Dakota, October 3, 2018 – The Oglala Sioux Tribe through the Wakpamni District and Anpetu Luta Otipi purchased the former Bennett County Central School with the intention of turning the facility into a 45-65 bed Residential Treatment and Detoxification Center. The facility is located in Western Bennett County, 4 miles North of Swett, SD. Renovation on the 12,500 square foot building will begin prior to the new year with funding from the U.S. Department of Justice – Bureau of Justice Assistance. Renovation plans include a complete update of the building’s interior and exterior as well as the construction of an additional 2,500 square foot wing needed to increase client capacity.
