If you are someone who focuses on Invisalign, and all your content is about this service…change it up! Talk about why dental cleanings are important, talk about sealants, crowns, night guards.

When you talk about other treatments you create more awareness.

I’ve seen messages on my client’s accounts saying: “Oh I didn’t know you did that too”.

Stop stressing about hashtags!

Hashtags used to be THE WAY to reach new ideal clients. Social media has changed, and that’s not the case anymore.

So..let’s get to the point!

Should you be using hashtags?
👉🏻Yes, you can still reach new patients from hashtags but they aren’t as effective as they used to be.

Here are my tips:
- Use less hashtags (5-8 hashtags)
- More 50-50 rule when it comes to the size of the hashtag. 50% large hashtags and 50% medium hashtags
- LOCATION-BASED hashtags are always KEY.

Take the time this week and go through your hashtags. Clean up your list and update it! Take the first 3 months of the year to test them out! See which ones work and which ones do not!

I am a former Dental Hygienist, social media manager and coach for dentists. I’m a mom and a Canadian.

This year we celebrate 5 years of The Social Hygienist🎉

This page started 5 yrs ago, I was living in Spain with my husband. I took a break from private practice and decided to start this side business.

This side business became my full-time job and allowed me to fully retire from private practice.

Since then I have moved back to Canada, travelled non-stop and became a boy mom.

What to expect moving forward? Lots of educational content! Social media has changed A LOT since I started this page! Get ready to learn more about these platforms and how to use them for the growth of your dental practice.
