Its worth mentioning that I dont think a trip soley to national parks with your dog is worth it however if you are already doing a trip it can defintiely be worth it to stop by these paces even if you have a dog!
Here are some elaborations of the mentioned tips:
🌲 Parks where you come to see a specific formation or phenomenon can be worth it and your dog can join you for important parts. Examples being the grand canyon, crater lake, and black canyon. Ones where it’s more centered around hikes like arches, rainier, redwoods, olympics, etc may be less worth it but the third tip is more likely to apply!
🌲 My access pass was very easy to get. I just needed medical proof of my disability. I believe neurodivergency can apply for this pass. Seniors, military, and children can get discounted passes as well. Most entrance fees are 30 dollars so it only takes three parks to make the 80 dollar annual pass worth it. It also allows you into other areas as well (hence interagency)
