Cassie's new book, "My UnTrue Love," is now available for pre-order on Amazon! It is the 7th book in her Kinda Fairytale series, although it is entirely self-contained and can be read on its own, if you want. It will be released March 1st. Here is the blurb:

Okay, Team! The next book in Cassie's Kinda Fairytale series, "My UnTrue Love," is going to go on pre-order this week! She finished the manuscript yesterday, and should be done with the edits soon. We will have it up for pre-order on Amazon shortly, and are aiming for a March 1st release for the book itself!

We will post the synopsis with the pre-order details soon, but the book will follow the fairytale world's favorite singer/hostage/wedding guest, Pecos Bill!

Okay Team, update time:

Been a very busy few months for us, both personally and professionally. Personally, we’re still having problems with our mom’s illness which are taking up a ton of our time (she’s getting better, just needs help) and making it so Cassie and I are currently on different schedules, which makes it difficult for us to coordinate the business side of things. So, replying to emails and such is still running waaaay behind. I think I should have everybody replied to now? If you’ve written to us and I haven’t replied, my apologies. Please re-send it and I will do better.

From the writing side of things, I am working on “Love vs the Flying Saucers!” which will be the next book in our Frightful Loves series. I wanted to have it out within the next month or two, but I think it’ll be delayed. Not a problem with the story, just lately, I’ve instead started like six other books, simply because those are the ones speaking to me right now, and I like to get it down on paper while I’m thinking about it. Some of them are truly weird and idiosyncratic and will probably never be completed, but I like where others are headed and will eventually finish them.

Cassie is writing the next book in the Kinda Fairytale series, which she describes as “kinda silly” but that she “loves it.” So, there you go. She does not have an ETA on when it will be finished, but it’s like 40,000 words in, so looking like next year, hopefully? She’s still working on the next book in her Elemental Phases series, which she hopes to finally complete, again “next year-ish?” is her estimate. She’s a good way into it and currently has the manuscript as a minimized Microsoft Word window on her laptop at all times, but she’s writing other things at the same time. So, not sure. And she’s working on two other Frightful Loves books, which have crazy horror film-ish plots. She’s having fun with them, since one of them is another result of a nightmare she had one time and immediately wrote down. Other than that, not too much going on with us in terms of news. I expect Love vs The Flying Saucers to be our next release, and will post the announcement here when it is completed.

Okay, Team: Cassandra Gannon's "Love vs The Scarecrow!" is now available on Amazon in eBook and paperback! This is part of our joint Frightful Loves series, but is completely stand-alone in terms of plot and characters, the series simply shares the same general location. Reading one book is in no way necessary to read the others.

This one will be set in the year 2000, because Cassie's on a turn-of-the-millennium kick at the moment. (I have seen so many episodes of Dawson's Creek now. And I'm starting to really hate my sister. ;) )

Love vs The Scarecrow! (Frightful Loves)

Okay team, an update:

Cassie has just about finished a new book and it’s now available for pre-order. It’s going to be called “Love vs The Scarecrow!” and is another installment of our Frightful Loves series. Like the others, it’ll be an entirely self-contained romance in the spirit of 1990s teen horror books. You will not need to have read any of the others to understand it. It will be released on September 1st.

Why are we opening up pre-orders for a book so early? Amazon decided to run a promotion on "Love vs The Ooze Monster!", the first book in the Frightful Loves series. They’re setting the price this month, not us, in exchange for them promoting it better. So, until June 1st, it seems like "Love vs The Ooze Monster!" is going to be $1.99. So, if you’ve been holding off on it, now might be a good time to pick it up while it’s on an Amazon deal.

And apologies if you’ve written us lately and we haven’t replied. We’ve been swamped with our mother’s medical issues again (this time she’s broken her hip and needed glaucoma surgery). It’s basically been one thing after another this year, and we haven’t had the time necessary to answer everyone. We’re going to try to make time to get it done going forward.

The paperback edition of "Happily Ever Witch" is now for sale. Again: the price of the print edition of the book is not our doing, it's the high cost of Amazon's printing service. We actually make less on the print books than the ebook editions, despite that high price.

I'm going to be sending out the newsletter tomorrow morning, probably. Just finishing up the editing on Cassie's deleted chapters.
