No, this page will only feature the Musical Acts deemed "not good enough" for the mainstream-Bands and Artists which are far too "Underrated" and far too "Unknown". Radio you will find a FEW songs by SOME Familiar Bands and Artists; these choice songs will be ones which sadly never received any airplay, or haven't since the days of old. (Though they ought to have, as they were just as fine as the
ones that received continuous airplay...if not better!)
One thing you must know: Here at H.T.A.B.A. Radio there is no set Genre, nor is there any specific Era. Let it be known that the cat at the helm of H.T.A.B.A. Radio isn't a fan of labels! But if he were, he'd be labeled simply, a "Music Enthusiast"! Another thing about this Cat is he is very much a Peaceful Dude, and not much gets under his fur. Save for this one thing...People who talk smack about Music that doesn't suit their tastes. Just because what your hearing doesn't get you off, don't go and badmouth it or the people that happen to dig it. If somebody chooses to enjoy "crappy" Music, let them! No harm is coming from someone's "sh*tty" taste in what they call "Music". It's their business...Peace!
*WARNING* I will tolerate much in the comments my video posts receive, save for this statement which I've seen/heard countless times: "They just don't make Music like they used too!". B.S. they don't! Don't be so closed-eared to the Music that surrounds you! There are many talented acts out there that would have fit perfectly back in whatever period it is you think is the best. Take the time to discover. And don't jump into a generalization which makes you sound like a fool, you're smarter than that...Peace!
*NOTE* I chose "It Didn't Take Too Long" by 'Gary Higgins' for my first post because of Gary's following lyrics:
The clock is running now
it's telling you just how
you got to sing your song boy
Sing it just for the angel
sing it just for the bird, child
sing it just for a short while
I believe those lyrics sum up what a great deal of the "Unknown" & "Underrated" Artists/Bands whom I'll be posting were feeling when they made their albums. I believe the majority of them made their albums, not for fame, but simply because they loved Music and just wanted to sing and play their instruments. They just wanted to be heard. And it didn't matter how many people heard them...or if anyone heard them at all. I dunno, I think it makes sense, and really, that's all that matters to me...Peace! There will be five special nights of Music:
"Instrumental Mondays"
"Tuesdays with Quinn"
"Indie Rock Wednesdays"
"Radio Unfriendly Thursdays"
"Idol Sundays"
