Today we'd like to share a lovely poem written by Casey Rose...
⭐️𝔸𝕞𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕠 𝕚𝕟 ℕ𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕞𝕓𝕖𝕣⭐️
It falls every year on the second weekend of November,
in that West Texas town of Amarillo.
It's the W.R.C.A. Ranch Rodeo Finals and once you've been, you just can't bear not to go.
It's not just the ranch rodeo,
though it's sure enough a sight to behold,
and the trade show sure don't hurt,
with all that's traded, bought and sold.
Some go just to meet their pards
they only get to see once a year,
and you can usually spot 'em with a beer in their hands
and grinnin' ear to ear.
Others go to compete
and leave it all out there on that dirt.
They've earned their spot in that arena,
and not all have gotten there unhurt.
I'd say it's like a big family reunion,
even though there's thousands you may have never met,
but there's something about being there that ties us all together and you'll feel it too, I'd be willing to bet.
Now I know most folks are feeding by then
and it's hard to get away,
but if it can be fixed to where you can make some tracks,
you'll be glad you took the days.
