Happy New Year!
The 42 Stories Anthology needs to fill the Craft of Writing category.
If you do not have a story in the anthology, you have won a writing award of any kind, or are a well-known editor, publisher, or you help other writers by sending out calls for submissions, you qualify for this category. How do you enter?
Email your answer to this question:
"If you could inspire and encourage thousands of other writers and readers with 42 words, what would you write?"
. .and include a 42-word 3rd person bio (highlighting why you were selected for this category) with your answer . . . to [email protected] with the subject Craft of Writing and your last name.
Perks:
This person's 42-word answer and bio will be
- included in the Craft of Writing chapter,
- they guest judge one of the other chapters, and
- receive $42 as payment if selected.
If you don’t qualify for the Craft of Writing chapter, the anthology also needs the following numbers of stories:
Hitchhiker's Guide to History: 3
Indigenous: 13
Mystery: 18
Sports: 7
Steampunk: 16
Sword & Sorcery: 8
About Hitchhiker’s Guide to History through Sword & Sorcery chapters:
One author per chapter will win a Story of Excellence Award, $.42 that can be donated to a charity pot to United Through Reading or kept, a certificate of award, the option to write the chapter introduction, and have the option to read their story for a video.
Guidelines for Hitchhiker’s Guide to History through Sword & Sorcery chapters:
Send the subject: 42subs_category_Name (e.g., 42subs_Ind_BAM) …this doesn’t have to be exact, but 1—4 below are necessary:
1) A title roughly 42 characters (between 40 and 44) checked at convertcase.net or wordcounter.net
2) A story exactly 42 words checked at one of the above websites
3) A 3rd-person 42-word bio checked at one of the above websites
4) A writer can have up to 4 separate stories in the anthology, but the pieces need unique author names (pseudonyms) because the theme of the anthology is to publish 1,764 stories with an equal number of names.
