The project aims to empower disadvantaged youth through trainings on hard skills, soft skills and media literacy to use podcasts as a tool in their local contexts in order to increase their civic engagement and political participation.

🌟Digital skills, soft skills such as critical thinking and media literacy are key skills and competences needed by today’s modern citizens. The situation is even more critical for the disadvantaged young people.

Podcast creation is a very important tool to foster media literacy and civic engagement of the young people by providing them with the possibility to express their voice in a strong and autonomous way that are free from the media establishment. 🎙️👏🏽

🙌Taking into consideration these facts, Window Youth project aims to empower disadvantaged youth through trainings on hard skills, soft skills and media literacy to use podcasts as a tool in their local contexts in order to increase their civic engagement and political participation.

[𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡]
Let's travel to Spain and meet our incredible partner: University of Seville. 🇪🇸

🌟With over 500 years of history and more than 70,000 students, the Universidad de Sevilla is one of the oldest in Spain and the second largest in the country. It offers around a hundred undergraduate degrees and over 160 master's programs, and it's the second Spanish university in terms of patents.

👉Among its alumni are 3 presidents of the country, nearly all the presidents of the Andalusian region, two female ministers of the current government of Spain, the essayist Blanco White, and the literature Nobel Prize winner Juan Ramón Jiménez.

🚀But the University of Seville is much more than just its numbers. It's intertwined with the city of Seville, being an integral part of it, and it contributes to and draws from its tradition, culture, and way of life. Perhaps that's why last year it was chosen by over 3,600 students for an Erasmus exchange, with Italy, Germany, and France being the most frequent sending countries.

The University of Seville is currently an open, prestigious institution that looks towards the future.👏

Meet Action Synergy from Greece, a very experienced member of the Window Youth project! 🇬🇷

🌟Action Synergy is an organization active in educational trans-national projects since 1986. The youth department of the organization specializes in the use of non-formal approaches for social inclusion and capacity building in the field of youth. They have participated in project and activities all around the world.

🎙️The podcast as a tool for social inclusion is one of the core activities of Action Synergy. The core team is consisted of very experienced members in the field of podcasting.

👉Action Synergy strongly believes that podcast is a unique and powerful way to empower young people to raise their voice. Podcasts such as "Shake n Bake" and "Window Seat Podcast" are run by Dominikos, Michalis and Alexandros, staff of Action Synergy.

Welcome Action Synergy to the Window Youth team! We are confident that Action Synergy will make significant contributions to the project. 🎉🎉🎉

🔔𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧!

The Window Youth Project officially kicked off in Napoli on 𝟭𝟵 𝗙𝗲𝗯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.

🌟All inspiring people, including youth workers, policy makers, and academics from 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗲, 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆, 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺, 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 gathered and started planning a two-year collaboration and next step for the project.

🎙️WINDOW YOUTH aims to empower disadvantaged youth through trainings on hard skills, soft skills and media literacy to use podcasts as a tool in their local contexts in order to increase their civic engagement and political participation.

🇮🇹In Napoli, all members had an amazing chance to record the very first podcast for the project. This is such a big step forward!
