at Ventura 2024: The most electric set I’ve ever seen. Great energy from start to finish! Each musician gave 101% of themselves to that performance.
In addition to lead vocalist literally climbing on the audio booth, he also delivered a beautiful speech during their set, shouting out his loved ones.
“It’s because of you I’m here,” said to his son. He then went on to thank his wife: ‘The reason I get to have a son, and a partner to walk through this crazy life with me and who makes me believe I can do the things I can do—when I don’t think I can do them—is my wife, Virginia. I love you so much.’

Amazing job to the band! Keep sharing your voices and your fire!

I had the opportunity to interview , the winner of the first-ever Women’s BMX Park Medal event at Ventura 2024! Hannah won alongside friends and fellow athletes & .mueller

Competing in, let alone winning, the first competition of its kind is a victory in itself. I asked Hannah what this opportunity meant to her; she shared, “I watched X Games when I was little, and it’s always been a huge dream. Perris would say the same. She came to watch it live when she was a kid too.”

I wanted to know if Hannah had any advice for kids wanting to pursue this sport: ‘There’s a lot of risk and fear involved, and it takes hard work. My biggest advice to the younger generation starting a sport is, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” That mindset has helped me a lot in learning new tricks. If I dream about a new trick, I’ll show up at a session with no motivation or anything, and I’ll say, “Dude, we’re doing it today.” It’s been amazing for my progression and has kept me motivated.’

What about frustrations when things don’t go your way?
“I’ve had a lot of ups and downs in my career. I’ve won a lot and lost even more. It’s part of life. There are always highs and lows. It used to affect me more, but lately, I see life as one big journey — a mindset I adopted from , who is always positive and has a great outlook on life. After finishing 4th in a contest a couple of times ago, I was upset for a moment. But it motivated me to go home and work harder — and that’s exactly what I did.”

Women’s Park Skate Finals at Ventura 2024

X Games rookie rose from 8th position in the competition to claim the bronze medal during her final run. Reflecting on her achievement, she emphasized the importance of bravery and determination in skateboarding. “You’re going to have a lot of falls and you’re not going to do well in some competitions. It’s all about learning,” Ruby remarked. For Ruby, fun is the name of the game saying the sport is all about, “supporting your friends, working hard and doing what you love.”

I also had the opportunity to speak with defending gold medalist, 14-year-old , who secured three X Games gold medals over the weekend. Prior to her winning run, I witnessed her determination as she practiced meticulously on the course. When asked about her approach to challenges, Arisa shared, “When I’m finding something difficult, I try it a few more times to feel it out. I know I can do it because I’ve done it so many times. I just have to feel confident about myself and feel good about it.” Arisa, known for her groundbreaking achievement as the first female skateboarder to land the 900, continues to push the boundaries of the sport.

Moto X Quarter Pipe High Air Ventura 2024 —

This was my first experience at a motorcycle jump competition, and I was beyond impressed- to say the least. One standout was the energy and work ethic of he brought the heat during the practice jumps and the competition itself. Despite not placing on the podium, his journey to this moment is a win in itself.
“This last year has really been tough for me. My whole life I never experienced anything like it — I lost my friend Pat Casey to riding, right in front of my face. That just devastated me. Then I broke my leg. And then to got to come back ride here — I really wanted to get a medal.” I asked Hodges how he tries to move through grief in his life, and he said, “Cherishing my family and all the good times. Live in the now and appreciate everything that’s going on.” — Losing someone close to you is life changing. Medal or not you should be proud of yourself getting to this moment. My condolences for his loss go out to him, Pat’s family, and the whole sports community.

Ventura 2024 Men’s Skateboard Vertical/Best Trick Final. Congrats to all participants and our podium winners: , , & , and also , , & !

“Ventura has the best crowd,” said the now two-time gold medalist for the best vert trick, . “The people definitely helped me earn this medal.” He also expressed gratitude to “my parents, sponsors, and everyone else who helped me reach this moment.”

Congratulations to all the skaters this weekend! Despite battling heavy winds on the course, they showcased their best moves and refused to let falls keep them down, always believing in their next run.

celebrated his second gold medal victory this weekend at X Games Ventura 2024. His win was at the Men’s Park Skate Finals, alongside fellow athletes and . He said, ‘I grew up watching them both skate, and now I’m proud to call them good friends and get to hang out with them on a daily basis.’
Palmer has had the pleasure of visiting Barros in Brazil for a few years and says that he has played a significant role as a mentor in any struggles that arise.
Regarding mentality in the world of skating, Palmer emphasized, ‘Skating involves a lot of mental work,’ and stressed the importance of ‘staying focused and keeping calm,’ while cautioning against ‘destroying your brain by overthinking it all too much.’ Congrats to our top athletes for the category!

Beyond thrilled to share the interview that I’ve been working on for the multi-platinum - When the opportunity to cover their press conference with @1824 came up, I couldn’t resist. In addition to the album being such a raw articulation of the brother’s experience—I also share a mutual love of Ithaca-having attended college there. In the album we are told stories of their youth and also confided in about their insecurities, fears and wants for something more. Despite the specific circumstances— the topics explored in the album are universal. It’s important to find gratitude along the path you walk in this life. Looking back at what’s been and honoring that part of you. The present moment is all we have, our next steps are never guaranteed. His humble beginnings, combined with determination, have led him to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj, ASAP Rocky, and notable brands like Supreme. We got to sit at his home and chat about how he got his start, what it takes to be an editor, and what inspires him today.

brought the house down as our final act of the night! They always bring so much energy to each of their performances - connecting with the crowd and also genuinely having fun there on stage together. When we were planning our event they were the first band we had in mind and they helped us bring the night to a close in the perfect way. Next up at our event, Rage for a Reason, we had .theband take the stage! They are a group of extremely talented musicians and vocalists, and we were incredibly grateful to have them as a part of our team. Still waiting for a rendition of one of their songs where every word is replaced with The Kore! Keep creating & we can’t see what you all do next.
