As my weekend holiday in Adelaide went on, I slowly became aware that my copy of “When Dark Waters Burn” by was well suited to Adelaide highlights like Central Market and coffee institution The Perfect Cup. It’s quite pleasing to feel like a local as you literally blend in to your surroundings…. 😉

Here is a fabulous first review of Kristin Martin and Nicky Johnston's magical picture book Where Shall We Travel Today? about friendship, play and imagination. Thank you ReadPlus and Kathryn Beilby. The book will be available in all good bookshops in July so look out for it soon.

In Melbourne, KidLitVic celebrated its 10th anniversary last weekend and MidnightSun’s publisher Anna Solding was part of the celebration. It’s always been a fabulous conference where aspiring writers and illustrators can meet publishers face to face aa well as hanging out with their peers. This year was no exception, with strong connections being made and a room full of smiles.
