Tune in for Episode 3.10!! Even saying the word “Israel” hurts right now. So we’re extra proud to be sharing (a bit belatedly) this interview with Israeli rabbi Maya Leibovich (please note: it was conducted prior to Oct. 7th). Emma and Marci also share their thoughts and reflections one month after Oct. 7th, and we’ve shared some of our most recommended Israel-related resources in the show-notes on our website.
Am Yisrael Chai and may all the world soon know peace. 🇮🇱

To read the full Prayer for Transgender Day of Remembrance, written by Rabbi Reuben Zellman, visit: https://www.keshetonline.org/resources/prayer-for-transgender-day-of-remembrance/

At National Council of Jewish Women, we are guided by the value of kavod ha’briot: the inherent dignity and worth of every human being. Acts of transphobic violence are an assault on the people and communities we hold dear to our hearts, and violate this precept in every possible way.

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember and mourn the trans lives lost to bigotry and violence over this past year. May every one of their blessings be a memory, and may we all continue to build a future where every person can be their truest self, free of violence and fear.

Rabbi Stacy Eskovitz Rigler , RJE, the awesome Executive Director of the Association of Reform Jewish Educators takes us to the next level as she beautifully explains everything we could ever want to know about Rabbi-Educators and why they are so valuable in our Jewish education spaces! We also have a timely chat about the impact of anti-semitism on Jewish education and introduce some lesser-known women on whose shoulders we stand, Rabbi Regina Jonas and Ray Frank.

In the wake of Dobbs, we are reminded of the power that elections hold in creating the future of reproductive justice we want to see. We must continue to rally, march, and vote for legislators who will have our best interests in mind.

In May 2022, Jews and allies from around the country traveled to D.C. for The Jewish Rally for Abortion Justice. Read excerpts of speeches from that rally in our latest issue at lilith.org.

I had been wanting to write about Queen Vashti for a while. A big part of my rabbinate and my writing focuses on uplifting the stories of women in the biblical narrative, especially those who do not get enough attention.
