TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING VISION: ASSIGNMENT
TEXT: HABAKKUK 2:1-3
To have a Vision means to see ahead, to conceive something or to have an ambition. A Vision is seeing the will of God ahead with understanding. Also, to have a Vision means to consider the possibilities of something, to imagine and to plan ahead. On the other hand, an Assignment is an obligation, a mission or position for which a person is responsible or assigned to carry out. To Understand Vision is to realize that it is an Assignment. Each and everyone of us has been saddled with responsibilities in the Body of Christ to fulfill as an Assignment. Just as God assigned Habakkuk, from our Text Scripture, a Vision and asked him to write it down, and make it clear enough, so that whoever sees it and reads it can run with it, so also has God given you an Assignment to carry out.
In this New Year, you must discover your Vision for the year and beyond and pursue it vigorously until you make a success of it. It becomes your Assignment to ensure the Vision comes to a reality. Note that a Vision without consequent action will turn to a nightmare or a mirage. The realization that a Vision is an Assignment will put you on your toes for it manifestations. Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:13-14 (GW) said, "Brothers and sisters, I can't consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don't look back, I lengthen my stride, and I run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus." Child of God, decide this year to take your Assignment seriously and make a success out of it. God is on your side.

PRAYER:
Father, I thank you for Vision. Thank you because we are not aimless this year. I receive the grace to make a success of my Assignment, in Jesus mighty name, amen.
