HB2165 (Rep Littleton) allows parents to sue schools if teachers don't disclose if their child exhibits or conveys any signs of questioning their gender identity, as described in DSM-5, because teachers:
1. "Don't want to be put in that position,"
2. Will be traumatized if they choose to hold that information in the confidence it was given, and
3. "are not educated to handle these things."
This bill passed committee today and is heading to the House floor. The companion bill has passed the Senate, 23 to 6.

House to vote on HB1605 TODAY (Monday, February 26th). Senate companion bill SB1722 has passed Education Committee and is awaiting scheduling for full Senate discussion and vote.
This bill will ban display of any flag other than the specific government, school, and curriculum guided flags allowed. For this bill, the word "display" is defined as anywhere students may see it. This includes wall decor, desk objects, mugs, personal jewelry, or even tattoos.

Eventful TNGA K-12 Subcommittee today. HB670, bill to test kindergarteners prior to advancing to first grade, was taken off notice. HB1632, allowing parents with children zoned for a school to file suit against their district for books in the library, was passed and moves on to the full Education Committee. HB0741, to repeal the Education Savings Account pilot program, was rolled two weeks. HB1699, involving substitute safety training, was rolled one week along with Bulso's bill to remove Pride flags from schools (HB1605). Check out the video to see his motivations behind the bill.
