Hotel626 was a web-based horror game that was created as a promotional campaign for the snack food brand Doritos in October 2008. Set in a haunted hotel, players took on the role of a guest trying to navigate through various challenges while being pursued by supernatural entities.

One of the game's most unique features was that it could only be played during specific hours from 6PM to 6AM (Where the hotel 626 number was based), which added to the game's mysterious feature and made it even more thrilling to play.

With that, the game quickly gained popularity and became known as one of the scariest games of its time. However, it was only available for a limited time and by 2011, the game was no longer accessible online.

Today, only walkthrough videos remain as a footprint of Hotel626's impact on the horror gaming genre.
