Your Morning Mirth From co-author of "Ten Ways to Rescue Your Soul," a collection of messages for the awakening spirits here on Earth... Originating from the word merry.

Mirth [murth] noun: Gladness and gaiety, especially when expressed through laughter. There is real progress going on in the world. Significant progress. Things that we can be proud of as a global community. That can inspire us to do more, and keep the momentum going. But it’s so easy to take on the perspective of the world through cynical eyes. It’s easy to play into and perpetuate the idea that m

an is inherently self-serving. But that doesn’t mean it’s true. Darwin mentioned the word “love” 95 times and his famous phrase “survival of the fittest” just twice in his book The Descent of Man. He said that “sympathy is the strongest instinct in human nature.” Not exactly what we’ve all taken away from our eighth grade biology text books. History teaches us that when things are not working, we eventually figure them out. That’s always been our greatest strength as a species. We are a work in progress. We always have been. We always will be. That’s what it means to be alive.
