Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo

Most people consider him as a traitor rather than being a hero.

From his collaboration with the Japanese during World War II, ordered the death of the Bonifacio brothers for treason, and "ordered" the death of General Luna.

With that, it addresses the questions: How would his place in Philippine history be evaluated? Is he really a hero or a traitor??.

THE ITALIAN MAFIA. 😏💸💰💵 😏💸💰💵

One of the principles of the Italian Mafia is that you should never betray your wife, because: If you are able to betray who trusts to close your eyes and sleep beside you, you are not worthy of anyone's trust.

THE PROBLEM WITH FILIPINOS
(TAKE TIME TO READ)

The problem with Filipinos is we get a b***r for anything Pinoy. Filipino contestant in X talent show abroad? Yes! Hollywood celebrity with .000018% Filipino ethnicity? Double yes! We’ll sniff out the tiniest drop of Filipino blood, but only, only if you get recognized internationally. “Filipinos mixed with another race always gives a good result!” As if these are the only things we excel in, as if breeding is all we’re ever good for because we have too much pride, and not as much to be proud about.

The problem with Filipinos is we’re overprotective. Not of our culture, of our identity, of our resources – but of our pride. We have so much pride, too much pride, we even made a tagline out of it . We’ve become overly sensitive, easily offended at the slightest of jokes, the slightest of criticisms that we end up refusing not to better ourselves because we’d rather be right and win an argument, than admit to be wrong and improve.

The problem with Filipinos is you can’t make a joke about us, but we can about you.

The problem with Filipinos is Manny Pacquiao sitting in the senate. Is condemning “CORRUPTION!” with one hand and accepting vote buying with the other. Is tweeting about the beauty of our lands with one hand and littering with the other. Is us talking more about Taylor Swift than about being blacklisted from Foreign Aid by France due to our own negligence.

The problem with Filipinos is we are quick to hate and quicker to forget. Forget the dictator and his family for violating our rights. Forget the white men and their destructive colonization because guapo, guapo, guapo! Marry a white man because he will save you from poverty;heroically take you from this wasteland of a country.

The problem with Filipinos is we kiss white people’s feet. We lick it with such gusto we allow every fair-skinned person to walk over our farm-broken backs. Because everything American is “better.” Because everything white is “beautiful.” Because putang ina ang corny mag-tagalog, kaluod mag bisaya! Do you not understand your fear? Have you not analyzed the instinctive shyness and submission that overcomes your brown body whenever you’re in the presence of someone white? Have you not dissected the veneration you so readily give Westerners, and so readily deny your Lumad brothers, Muslim sisters? The problem with Filipinos is we value perfect English grammar over hungry Filipino lives.

The problem with Filipinos is we go to Church, but do not listen. We pray, but do not practice. We leave all responsibility with God and take none for ourselves.

The problem with Filipinos is we value word-sparring on Facebook more than the fight for freedom our ancestors bled for. Because conspiracy theories are more interesting than facts. Because our soap-operas have taught us drama is easy.

The problem with Filipinos is it took a movie for us to see the folly of our history. The problem was nobody cared enough to look in the first place.

The problem with Filipinos is we’re too nice. The problem with Filipinos is we’re not nice enough.

The problem with Filipinos is we don’t know who we are.

The problem with Filipinos is you. Is me. Is the fact we both know no matter what I say or what you say, it’s all pointless because

pride
pride
pride.

The problem with Filipinos is you’ll probably be more pi**ed at this article, than you ever were about racial injustice, police brutality, sexism, poverty, littering, hopelessness.

The problem with Filipinos is the wrong things offend us.
The problem with Filipinos is we rarely stand up for the right.

The problem with Filipinos is you. Is me. The problem with Filipinos is ourselves.

You’re not lacking whatever you thinking you’re lacking. It’s your opinion that you’re deficient that is far worse than any potential deprivation. You’ve got plenty. You are plenty. When we understand that, we understand that we’re already wealthy.

INNER CITADEL

They said virtue is the only good

I inspected Myself
My vices overweighed my virtues
I was angry, I was vengeful
I was impatient, I was intolerant
My ego diminished others
My self importance screamed
My vices made my virtues invisible
My vices were damaging what my virtues were creating
I had to work harder on my vices than my virtues
I am still chipping away my vices so I can build my virtues
I am Working On Myself
It is the hardest work I've ever done

There maynot be a heaven to reward my virtues
I am building my own heaven
I am building my inner citadel

Miriam Santiago defends choice of Bongbong Marcos as VP
By: Yuji Vincent Gonzales - 6 years ago

Despite being a regional trial court judge during the martial law period, presidential aspirant Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago sees nothing wrong in running with the late dictator’s son and namesake, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

After filing her certificate of candidacy for president, Santiago said she does not have to reconcile her rulings when she was judge of the Quezon City RTC with her decision to run with Marcos.

“I was correct [with my decisions]. The truth will always be the truth. Justice will always be justice… Life doesn't have to be a constant straight line from one end to another,” Santiago told reporters at the Commission on Elections headquarters in Intramuros, Manila.

“Times change. Your ideologies are different from those of your parents. We always have to adjust with the times,” she added.

Asked about the human rights violations committed during the Marcos regime, Santiago said it was not as if the late dictator gathered all his family members and decided to implement martial law.
“They did not agree as a family to sit down and say, ‘let's set up curfew, let's regulate firearms,” she said, noting that the martial law was not a result of familial decision but of a “policy decision of the executive branch and Marcos’ advisers.”
Santiago said her tandem with Marcos was a “unique phenomenon” as they came from different parties—she will run under her People Reform's Party, while the latter is a Nacionalista stalwart.

“This phenomenon is unique not only for me but also for my running mate. It's a new development—two people from different parties are running together,” she said.

After posting several hints on social media last week, Santiago formally announced that she will seek the presidency for the third time on Monday. She said the Philippines will be “much better if I become president in the near future.”

On Thursday, the feisty senator confirmed that Marcos is her running mate, saying that it was a mutual decision of both camps.

Santiago first ran for president in 1992, but lost to former president Fidel V. Ramos in a hotly contested race. She also joined the 1998 presidential derby. IDL

Why did MDS chose BBM as her running mate?
Don't tell me she's a Marcos Apologist.
